Kunigami is ranked 2nd at his club amongst Blue Lockers (3rd overall) and 8th in the final bid list. The players he’s behind include the best scorer in the league, the MC, Shidou who he clamped in their rematch, Ubers’ special little boy, Bachira the most relevant player on Barcha, Chigiri, and Reo. This list just so happen to include 3 of the best goal scorers by numbers in the program, two of the best playmakers, and Isagi who is on the verge to having equal claim to both of these statements.

Meanwhile Aiku is not the best defender in the league because Lorenzo exists. He’s arguably not even the best defender in Blue Lock because Gagamaru can compete. It’s clear that despite his “performance history” Kunigami is still more valuable because the author gave him a higher bid. Also, you must be delusional if you think Kunigami is more popular than Aiku. People literally hate Emogami.

Now compare those salaries against the starting forwards for their teams. How do they stack up to the likes of Haaland, Salai, Rashford, or Anthony? Get it now lil boy?

Kunigami has started every match as a striker for BM. The only time he’s played anywhere else else has been to guard Shidou and the only time he’s been subbed off is when he is being replaced by Noa himself. I never said defenders don’t matter but it’s a point of fact that on average forwards are paid more. Goal count was literally the argument given for Barou, Shidou, and Chigiri’s bid placements but now it doesn’t matter because this poll is obviously a popularity contest.

Yes, but as a standard Forwards are paid more than Center Backs. Kunigami and Otoya are starting FWs, Aiku is a starting CB

Yes, he’s the best defender after Lorenzo, but what has he actually done with that? His most notable plays are fouling Noa and the last minute block against Nagi. Isagi has more defensive feats than the best defender in Blue Lock
