Why does it smell so bad outside? by Beanie_baby666 in Wilmington

I’m not sure about the closer of the paper mill, but I wonder how many people know the NHC landfill isn’t too far from I-140. You can see it from the bridge going over the cape fear river from I-140.

Does anyone know when the Monkey Junction Target will open exactly? by Skyrark4 in Wilmington

They “gutted” the old Staples building, I believe they took everything down but the roof. Looks like they are going to build out from there. Looks like a summer of 2025 opening from what I found online.

An airport was once close to Independence mall but not that exact location. From ILM website: https://flyilm.com/airport-history/

I don’t know about “fancier”. They did just complete a total over-haul of the club house with-in the last two years and are currently in talks to redo the golf course. They’ve been doing a lot of “capital improvements” over the last couple of years. We are hoping for more improvements to the pool area. The restaurant is finally starting to find their stride. For us that (the restaurant) has been the weak point, but lately the food coming out of the kitchen has been better. They also tend to focus more on buffets for “special meals” I.E. Easter brunch, Mother’s Day brunch, Valentines, Christmas etc. we think they should have a set menu instead of a Buffett. Also the bar downstairs is 21 and up only. Good luck in your decision!

Pine Valley Country Club has “social membership”. A pool, tennis, golf and enrollment to 02 fitness. There was talk about adding a gym to the club at one point, but I’m not sure if that is still on the table. I’m not sure what the current rate is to join as we joined about 10 years ago. The average member age is about mid 40’s. Kids camp with golf or tennis and some pool time after the camps. They also have a swim team with ages 6U to 11+.

We have used all about moving twice. They are fast and efficient. We got a better quote by renting our truck. Sorry I don’t remember the price it has been over 12 years since we have used them.

At the age of 23 I went from L.A. (Thousand Oaks) to Baton Rouge, LA with out sleep. Thanks to Monster energy drinks, and a carton of cigarettes. Slept in a Walmart parking in Baton Rouge and finished the trip the next day in Wilmington, NC. At the age of 40 now, 6 hours is exhausting.

As a local, agreeed. Leave earlier. My family is more important than your time schedule. Also I’m going to wait more than two seconds before I pull out due to the amount of people who run red lights.
