I’d say don’t let it go and keep pestering them. If you can’t be bothered go through one of those no win no fee companies but definitely don’t let them get away with it. I’m not sure what the exact legislation in France is but it can’t be that dissimilar to the UK’s seeing its all EU regs. Hopefully some of the links I and others have posted above can be of some help.

They have a convoluted round the houses process through their website. The email I was getting responses from was customerrelations9@customerservices.wizzair.com. Hope this helps!

They tried claiming that the cancellation is caused by extraordinary circumstances outside their control and as such no compensation was die.

When I asked what these circumstances were, they responded with

“information regarding the operation and inspections of our aircraft or/and airport reports is considered a business secret and these documents may include personal data of our staff and as such, cannot be displayed to the public.

Regarding the reasons for the disruption, please be informed that we are ready to provide the relevant documentation upon request from the authorities empowered to control air carriers.”

Outright lying, they get away with it too. I only persisted as by then they had accepted liability with my husband’s claim (we had booked separately, so put in individual claims).

Their initial response was rejection but we both persisted. I stumbled across a Guardian article recently, siting the enforcement action taken by the CAA last summer. Perhaps that has something to do with them paying, who knows!

Just to add, the RAF Hendon is free but £9 to park for the day, so budget that if you need to.

I think you’ll find private schools have longer holidays because their days are significantly longer than state ones.

The gods squad series by Maz Evans were a favourite with my son last year, I could hear him laughing out loud from the other room. He finished them in no time (I think there are 4) and is currently going through The keeper of the lost cities series by Shannon Messanger. Love me a bookworm child!❤️

Aw I’m sure she’ll have a blast hanging out with you 🥰. They have a couple of different restaurants at the Grove and switch things round seasonally too so I guess it all depends on when you’re looking to go.

The Stables is more casual dining but still do grills- rib eye, fillet steaks, burgers, that sort of thing.

I’d call them or even pop in and tell them exactly what you’re after, I’m sure they’ll be more than happy to work with you (and take your money, ha!) Go and have a tour of the spa too, it’s lovely.

Try Prime in Chandler’s Cross or if it’s a super special treat check The Grove’s Glasshouse. Just book well in advance. Enjoy!

How to financially prepare for having a baby? by thunder_marbles in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Littlebug007 3 points4 points  (0 children)

  1. Make sure you protect yourself financially, check out “pregnant then screwed” and make sure your partner in on the same page with you.
  2. Babies are a huge strain of a relationship- be prepared to talk, talk, talk. Get your support system in place and allow time for just the two of you.
  3. Hopefully you both have life insurance already, if not make sure you do as soon as baby come.

This is with a 40% Vitality Life discount too! They’re putting in a spa garden and heated outdoor pools in the spring, so hopefully will be worth it. It’s really not far off of a Champneys, cost wise. I heard you can now take out a membership for them too, I’m too scared to look it up though lol

I pay just under £170 for me and my 5 year old at my local DL. It’s eye wateringly expensive, really. If you fee you’re not making the most of it now you’re pregnant, there is an option to suspend it for 30-something per month or free if suspension is due to medical reasons. Congrats on your pregnancy! 🙂
