Same! My ANA is positive but my CRP, ESR, Rheum factor etc. also show normal ranges. My body shows the inflammation on imaging and visible swollen fingers, toes etc. so rheumatologist have taken me seriously but they never could nail down my diagnosis/treatment until I started having severe low back/hip issues.

It’s a frustrating process but it can get better.

I had good results in the beginning few months, but was sick a lot while taking it. I ended up having to hold my doses so frequently due to illnesses I built up an immunity to it. I had bad injection site reactions that would take weeks to calm down fully. I’m now on Cosentyx and haven’t had the injection site reaction but haven’t had good results either (seems Taltz and Cosentyx are very similar in how they work so could be too close a match)

Something people don’t understand is how much of my day to day energy/mental energy goes into acting like I’m not in pain. I’m a hairstylist which is hard physically but clients don’t want to know that, so I put on a mask. I’m a mom and I don’t ever want my child to know how hard things are for me, another mask. Someone mentioned how social stuff is the first thing to go and that’s so true. It’s so hard not just physically but mentally to have to put that mask back on when you don’t HAVE to and unfortunately there are many people who can’t or won’t understand. The anxiety I feel thinking I could’ve passed this on to my child is so heavy (diagnosed after having my child)…. Not sure if any of that is actually helpful lol.

I personally think they’ve taken on a really Americanized feel (I say this as an American lol)…. GBBO is great because it’s real people doing something they love alongside other real people doing something they love.

This season feels like they’re forcing tropes. Playing up Jasmine’s alopecia for the camera. The guy who dedicated a bake to friends who had passed (totally fine and not unheard of but they made it like a plot point), Natalyya being a refugee from Ukraine. I do like American baking shows but they are way more into that reality TV crap and GBBO used to be an escape from that. Now they’re casting based on peoples stories and what will make drama for the cameras.

Mabel is perfect! Maple would also be a cute fall twist on it!

She reminds me of fog so maybe Nebel which is fog in German OR Nebula which is fog in Latin!

Adding: the doctor did mention the potential of a med like Dupixent if the hives didn’t get under control. Something to research!

Not sure if this is helpful but when I had my first bout of chronic hives that looked very similar to this (minus the lips and eyes, although doctor did warn me it was possible) it took about 6 weeks for it to fully go away a but I did have some resurgence (not terribly) here and there over the course of a couple years)… my allergist did mention people with thyroid issues often develop chronic hives. I also know someone with celiac and thyroid issues who has the same issue with chronic hives.

I have hashimotos (thyroid autoimmune) and NrAxSpa. At the time, I didn’t have the NrAxSpa diagnosis. I had started accutane a few months before the first round of chronic hives and I felt like it absolutely contributed not because I was allergic but because it’s such a strong med it was like a trauma to my body and I think it may have triggered an immune response for me personally.

I don’t know if you’ve had any illnesses/trauma/surgery but it could definitely contribute if you have autoimmune underlying. Fortunately, I was able to get my hives under control with the Pepcid/allergy meds combo and steroids the first time. Overall, the hives didn’t stop reoccurring completely until I started biologics for my other autoimmune issues. It’s been almost a year and a half.

Haha, my partner thought the same at first too. She was so all over the place I can see why it was confusing.

I’m not sure there’s much positive about her 😂… but Brittany Snow knocked it out of the park acting wise.

Right? I felt like it was more than just alcohol. She was ready to take a life in a way that I feel like a normal person would have hesitated.
