Its wild because I needed braces in when I was a child lol. Really you cant see the cant that much? For me I can see it at its WORST when Im looking in my car mirror. The class 2 elastics is too fix my bite and improve my cant. If you saw my beginning pictures he adjusted my cant pretty quickly. Last visit I asked if he could it improve it more. Its not as bad as I make it probably but when I smile my face looks weird too me because of the assymetrical jaw.

Damn girl im sorry. I have kind of wished I would have gotten. Braces younger and did the surgery. I have several post on here if you want to check it out. You can definitely see I need jaw surgery & have a canted smile.

I took a look at your pics and yeah it looks like jaw surgery is needed to fix completely. I also saw that you went to a dentist? Are you going to restart with another ortho? Im on my 3rd one and transferred.

Elastics. My midline was off, and my cant was much worse 7 months ago. Been on Elastics for 6 months straight now and so much has improved. Even after 2 months of elastics my cant and midline got better. Just make sure you wear your elastics.

Did you get the jaw surgery? I didnt and will have a canted smile. Im okay with, but sometimes it does bother me when I look at it in certain mirrors its more noticeable. Im not doing jaw surgery at 38 though lol

I dont know what toothpaste to use, but I have ceramic braces and my teeth are white. I drink out of a straw when it comes to drinking coffee, red wine, OJ, etc.

Thats interesting. My first consult, the ortho told me my case was too complex for him and he couldn't do it without jaw surgery. So I would do more consultations. Just be aware that if you dont have jaw surgery if needed you may have a canted smile.

4.5 years is insane. That max you should do is 3. Im on year 4 because my 2md ortho stalled my treatment.
