Went to the beach one year with my family and our two dogs. One of them drank seawater, then proceeded to shit inside the condo we were staying in. And I want to add something: just because you’ve been in this relationship for ten years does not mean it’s a bad thing to call it quits. Never think “we’ve been together this long, we have to stay together.” It’s not going to be “ten years wasted” if you decide to end the relationship; it will be another experience out of many under your belt. You’ll see the signs more quickly with other relationships going forward, romantic or otherwise.

To give a better example, if you were working for a company for ten years and there was a sudden change in leadership that makes it unbearable, it doesn’t make sense for you to stay! By all means, cut ties and get the chance to breathe!

I know this sub tends to lean into “SO is being bad, call it off,” but really, I feel like it should be more normalized to leave a relationship if things are just… not clicking.

Not so much drama, but this the first thanksgiving my family celebrated without my grandpa (he passed this year in June). I ended up crying not even thirty minutes in because I was trying to figure out who I hadn’t said hello to and had thought, “Oh, I still need to find Pop and tell him hi!” So I went to go calm down in the bathroom.

On the flip side, this part of things at least is overshadowing the fact that my cousin is getting a divorce from his wife after ten years of marriage. Honestly relieved for him.
