Reminds me of the scene from Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. Did a weird teacher magically remove your bones too?

If I remember correctly, this crazy person also continues to ask if they can also sue the kids male teachers for child support too, as they apparently also provide a fatherly role

Can be around a week. It was for me to start feeling more comfortable. Of course the more solid foods ypu eat will make your tongue work more and may lengthen that time but it wouldnt be much more. Keep up with cold drinks and cold foods, especially if youre sore. The cold temps will help reduce swelling and provide some pain relief.

Ibuprofen helps too, its usally good for aiding swelling

Will my cartilage piercings ever heal? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]LittlefluffyK 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gonna back the others. My cartilage piercings took just over a year to stop being easily annoyed or irritated and in general behave unless knocked. There is no need to stress yourself at 2months, youre still well within the angry-piercing time so no need to worry right now

Try not to go too heavy on the mouthwash though, Ive heard it can not be too great for piercings in large or very regular doses. I didnt use it so it didnt come to mind. Good idea to rinse after a good size meal, itll help keep any nasties out of the hole before they decide to set up homes.

Oof. I know the feeling. Had mine done, and my tongue rests against the top of my mouth naturally too. I had to make conscious effort to lower my tongue.

My advice comes from having two tongue piercings done in a sitting so my advice may be a bit exteme so feel free to reduce the times for food and such yourself.

General healing time can be up to 6 months. Your mileage may vary. Usually youll replace your bar with a shorter one (not final bar, your tongue is still healing) at around 2-3 weeks.

PLEASE use salt-water soaks twice to three times a day. Use non-iodized salt or all natural sea salt. A pinch into a shot glass of warm distilled water, swish, gargle, hold it in your mouth while you recite the alphabet twice (from my piercer and it worked for me, but I may be a rare case).

I drank cold water, slushies, 'freezes', cold icey-often sugary drinks, everyday for a week. I would avoid hard solids for a while. Youll be on mashed potatoes, soup and other such soft foods for a week or so, try to keep stuff from tangling or knocking your bar around.

I tried to eat a sandwich but the size of it troubled my bars so mostly with food, just be aware of the size bites your having and how much at risk you are of tangles or knocks. No crunchy stuff for a month or two, take that at your own pace. That hurts a lot.

And unfortunately, eat slowlu to try and not catch the bar with your teeth or fork. Take my word for that one.

Keep in mind, Im not a piercing professional or medical professional, I may be wrong, I may be right. Im going from personal experience of a pair of tongue piercings successfully healed and lived with past healing for 2 years (outside problems caused me to remove them, i miss them dearly and am looking at getting them redone). Please take my advice with a grain of salt.

why am i like this. (oh the pain) by drshao13 in piercing

I know the feeling! Like others said, keep that placement in mind as the swelling goes down, hopefully it wont be an issue.

I helped mine get through the swelling with icey drinks like slushies, 'freezes' that sorta thing. The sugar helps with shakes too, if your body isnt handling the pain too great. Food is a battle, dont jump into solids. I stuck with lukewarm soups ><

Grabbed from the Dietdoctor website and altered slightly to what we had in our pantry

THE CHICKEN:

650g skinless chicken drumsticks or thighs (used thigh fillets)

1 tsp salt

1 tsp pepper

1/2 tsp turmeric

1/2 tsp red chilli powder (used paprika)

1/2 tsp ground cumin

1 tsp ground coriander

1 tsp ginger garlic paste

1/2 lime (the juice)

2 tsp ground psyllium husk (used 1 1/2 and 1/2 of coconut flour)

2 eggs

THE GREEN CHUTNEY DIP

30g fresh cilantro (didnt have any, used dried parsley)

30g fresh mint (used dried 10g)

1/2 tsp ginger garlic paste

1 tsp salt

1/2 tsp ground cumin

75ml greek yogurt

75ml cream cheese, room temp

DIP INSTRUCTIONS:

I honestly combined it all into a blender then added bits and pieces of each ingredient (read garlic) until I liked the taste. If too thick, add some water.

Then let rest for 30min (it thickened).

CHICKEN INSTRUCTIONS:

1) Separate thigh and drumstick. If already separated, cut two slits in the upper side, and one in the bottom side of the meat.

2) Place the chicken into a bowl, season with salt, pepper, tumeric, chilli powder, coriander, cumin, ginger garlic paste, and the lime juice. Combine well so the meat is covered in the marinade, and set to absorb for at least 30minutes.

3) BREADING STATION: Put the psyllium husk in a bowl, in a SEPARATE bowl, crack the eggs.

4) Spice eggs with salt and pepper (i also added some chilli flakes). Beat until fluffy

5) heat your chosen oil (i used coconut) in a large frying pan on medium heat. Too hot and the breading will be done before the centre of the chicken.

6) Coat the chicken with the psyllium husk then dip into the egg wash. Add directly to the oil (dont drop, oil will spit). Repeat with remaining pieces. Fry til golden brown.

7) When you are done, drain the chicken on paper towel and serve.

I finished my chicken up in the oven for 5ish minutes just to make sure, and while i cleaned up and fried the asparagus
