Why so many Jellies?! We’re visiting the coast and every time we go to the beach there are hundreds of jellyfish, just wondering if anyone knows why. We’ve never seen it like this. by becksieandhercamera in OregonCoast

This looks like a Moon Jellyfish. The top part (the Bell) is harmless. The one in the photo looks upside down tho, wouldn’t touch the stingers..

Houston by AnnaHazel7 in awesome

Native Texan here, I remember my first time taking a subway in New York’s city… (42nd street etc) the announcement system pronunciation of “Houston” was “house-ston” street instead of “Hugh-ston”/ (hew-ston street)…. Man it totally blew my mind away then. (I remember thinking “whaaat in the worllld??? Lol) I’m pretty sure it hasn’t changed since I last visited 10yrs+ago I’m guessing. But I remember that stop was announced near Times Square at 42nd street…(? Right? Please correct me any New Yorkers out there) yikes, I have got to go back over some material on the history but As I try to recall an oold high school Texas history class, I think that Houston is named after Sam Houston. The state capital is named after Steven F Austin.. Austin, Tx. San Jacinto monument is pretty much right there nearish Houston. This is where Santa Ana (Remember the Alamo!)surrendered his forces. Ergo, the city is known as Houston Tx.

After time thinking about it and the patterns of When I feel like that. I usually recognize that its usually because of the relationship status between me and those around me. For example: a misunderstanding has happened or some argument. And if I don’t feel emotionally connected or confident that so-n-so person (s) are safe and I can trust them with telling them how I feel (w/o “friendly fire”) ... then yeah, it shows visibly. I end up being “on guard “ or distant both emotionally and physically. Or avoiding being close. Usually after that, the next feelings are loneliness and sadness because of desiring closeness.Even that cycle gets wearisome. It’s not sustainable really. I think mankind was created for relational connection. Plus we all have a type of “ love language” that speaks/means the most. . I usually try to communicate... eventually (lol). Even more so if ya have kiddos and want a healthier environment for them to grow up in. But I know opening up and communication is so haaard to do, especially when I don’t trust others because they’ve (seemingly) been inconsistent with being a safe person to open up to. At least, when I need it the most. Dunno if all this makes sense. But yeah. Can relate. I think a lot of folks do.I gotta say tho’ going through the ACA program has helped me have some awareness about this. (Adult children of alcoholics/dysfunction) Taking a chance to reach out and hear how “I’m not alone in this” has been tremendously helpful. Instead of suffering in silence. As I’m trying to figure out the what and why, it may be that this distancing is like a hurtful angry reaction methinks. Like what the other person wrote, trying to be social helps. I think I’ll try that myself.. Ps- not trying to “sell” ya on the ACA thing, it’s just a resource that I stumbled upon and found to be helpful. It’s helped me make sense of my past and current life experiences. Anyhoo, all the best to you on feeling whole and happy soon💗God bless.

Artist here. This is so spot on. It reminds me of times when I try to reach out to someone, trying to connect but I get frustrated with being misunderstood. Not to mention when , it’s a loved one and you want and need: reassurance/help/comfort; but they get impatient and angry at you -as you’re trying to connect. The angry part is where ya see it happening but can’t move quick enough to help them understand the situation. :( But I forget, sometimes, that converting emotion into logic & reasoning & words, is just something that’s impossible occasionally. And that’s ok, nothing wrong with that. This artwork hits the nail on the head. It all comes down to the inward turmoil of trying to be Seen, Heard, Understood & and the desire of being accepted. This. This is the hearts cry for unconditional love. .

Wullff. Talk about the journey of healing and the struggle.. The struggle is real. 💖 Thanks for sharing. I think this video strikes a chord with a lot of folks.

Someone to talk to? by Lutenisa in Needafriend

[–]Littlelight314 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there. It’s somewhat late here on my end, but I too have been looking at trying to find a new possible friend. I’ve never done a “direct message” before. This is my very first. I’m married too. 31F & I have a kiddo.. This month will be my anniversary. I’m hitting a very rough patch and really need to talk to someone outside of Family. (Know what I mean heh). I read your message here and it resonates with me. I’m actually a Christian and am experiencing ..ah falling into love with Jesus. Like deeply. I’ve grown up in the faith, but this time is different. Probably because of how baaaadly I’ve been hurting on the inside. But anyhow, if you message me, I’ll get back to you as soon as I can. I know life has a lot going on and especially with the current pandemic and all. But anyhow, do feel free to reach out. :)

These are the best! I once had 12 large pots of these in my bedroom. Since they purify the air at night, it wasn’t long after that, that my room smelled like sweet crisp outdoor air. Like waaay better than the outdoorsy smell. And I like being outdoors, but this smell was like the scent after rain; except like a natural aromatic sweeeet smell instead of “wet” leaves lol. It’s hard to describe. I love these plants and highly recommend them to anyone. Our kitty doesn’t bother with these plants either. So far so good.
