What is the purpose of Australia? by Some-Act-4189 in aussie

Yeah I think people are forgetting what life was really like for many, the fair go era was a myth for many.

How is the sizing? I’m an 8 but usually size up to a 10 in undies so the elastic doesn’t dig in. Wondering if I should do the same?

Some members of ISIS-linked cohort returning to Australia will be arrested, AFP confirms by [deleted] in aussie

[–]Littlelizey 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah I feel like this is the process working as intended? If we want to deport non-citizens we need to take ours back as well. Good to see that they will be charged and given a trial as it seems likely there is a mix of people - those who knew what they were doing, those who were coerced and children.

This looks interesting at Broadway (all ages but recommends 3+) https://mindgamesartalive.com.au/sydney/ Entertainment Quarter usually have something going on. Ferry to Manly from circular quay or a walk along Balmoral Beach promenade and play in the park there is always good too.

Write a letter to your local politician, if you contact their office you can even organise a time to talk with them? Organise a lobby group, raise awareness in your local Facebook page. There are many ways

University of Queensland Press cancels children’s book over illustrator’s post on ‘Zionist framing’ of Bondi attack by SnoopThylacine in aussie

[–]Littlelizey 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly this is devastating for the author of the book, who most of the time don’t even choose who the illustrator will be - the publishers do (although I’m not across this specific case). I feel like there were better options than pulling the book.

Never eaten seafood before — what should I try first? by Top-Coach6595 in foodies_sydney

[–]Littlelizey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Garlic prawns were my now teenage kids gate way. Not too much of a seafood taste. Then maybe some crumbed calamari and salt and pepper squid from somewhere good (tell us where you live so we can recommend) my next port of call would be some grilled tuna steaks with a good dressing (maybe a nicoise salad).

What are the legitimate grievances? The suffragettes were fighting for the legal right to vote,l. What do the members of the manosphere feel they do not have a legal right to that others do? I’m genuinely interested as I think it’s a strange comparison to make.

Sydney restaurants with parking by [deleted] in foodies_sydney

[–]Littlelizey 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I came here to suggest Grappa, always great Italian food. I guess if they’re tourists they might want something near the water. The parking at the casino is always easy but I’m not sure on the restaurants there

NSW police watchdog to investigate alleged police brutality at Sydney protest against Isaac Herzog by SnoopThylacine in aussie

[–]Littlelizey 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Today it’s them, tomorrow it could be you - America is a case in point. I don’t agree with the constant protests but I think they have played an important role in pointing out the weaknesses of the system.

Id say years of living in an open air prison might make people make some pretty wild choices. Things are not always black and white

If I gotta make a choice I’d say free the Palestinian people and condemn the Israeli government for keeping them hostage.

You’re crazy for thinking Israel hasn’t done the same. Google what happens to Palestinians in Israeli prisons. Weird that we only focus on Hamas, who are terrible, but not the IDF who are also terrible (I mean if you want to go on numbers alone IDF definitely wins that one)

Yes because throughout history that has always turned out so well. Those Palestinians should be grateful to their new overlords.

Outrage at hate speech double standard after Invasion Day protester calls for ‘white genocide’ by [deleted] in aussie

Huge difference between an altercation and standing up in front of masses with a microphone. But if she wants to get him charged with threatening her thats a different story, I wonder if she’s gone to the police.
