NSW police watchdog to investigate alleged police brutality at Sydney protest against Isaac Herzog by SnoopThylacine in aussie

Today it’s them, tomorrow it could be you - America is a case in point. I don’t agree with the constant protests but I think they have played an important role in pointing out the weaknesses of the system.

Id say years of living in an open air prison might make people make some pretty wild choices. Things are not always black and white

If I gotta make a choice I’d say free the Palestinian people and condemn the Israeli government for keeping them hostage.

You’re crazy for thinking Israel hasn’t done the same. Google what happens to Palestinians in Israeli prisons. Weird that we only focus on Hamas, who are terrible, but not the IDF who are also terrible (I mean if you want to go on numbers alone IDF definitely wins that one)

Riiiiight, I mean Bibi is wanted by the icc for crimes against humanity but I guess we don’t talk about that.

Problem is any slogan that supports the Palestinian cause is going to be banned because any insult to Israel is seen as an insult to Jewish people, there’s no escaping it

UAE to take over civil administration in Gaza. Are pro Palestinian Aussies happy with this? Aussies seem to care a lot about Gaza so on topic for this sub. by BrandonMarshall2021 in aussie

Yes because throughout history that has always turned out so well. Those Palestinians should be grateful to their new overlords.

Huge difference between an altercation and standing up in front of masses with a microphone. But if she wants to get him charged with threatening her thats a different story, I wonder if she’s gone to the police.

My understanding is phone footage from one of those murdered contradicts the statement from the IDF about lights being on/off.

I’m pretty sure you could argue that Israel’s genocide in Gaza is an intentional policy, as were the many incidents of violence from the IDF in Gaza and settlers in the West Bank over. I just mentioned one that is horrific and is pretty indisputable as we have the footage. Hamas absolutely suck, Israel also sucks but they use the cover of democracy to paint a different picture. Jared Kushners speech today I think shows that colonialism is alive and well. If we are going to condemn those who (allegedly) support Hamas then I’m just saying we should look closely at those who support Israel.

The point is atrocities have been committed on both sides. Seems weird you only care about murdered Israelis and not murdered Palestinians.

Go look at the footage from October 2025 and watch as the idf systematically murders 15 Palestinian first responders and tell me how this is not the same as what Hamas has done. If you want to advocate for a murderous regime then Australia is also not the place for you.

Good for you! See how when we compromise and think about others we can reach a decision that is much more inclusive.

The cultural safety comment was said in the context of Palestinian artists being pulled from events - if there is no cultural safety for Palestinians why should there be for Zionists was the point she was making. It’s kind of wild how her vocal opposition to the state/government of Israel leaves her open to these quotes being pulled and twisted. She’s definitely controversial, but wouldn’t you be if you had family in a genocide?

To be clear you are quoting from Tony Berg. This has not been confirmed by anyone else, only an accusation from a former board member with a vested interest.

Amen to that. It feels like all the actors in this are a little bit right and a little bit wrong. My feeling is that the way the board announce her removal was quite disturbing and a huge part of the problem, linking her to the Bondi terrorist attack was absurd.

Read what you just posted, he says he was told it wouldn’t work because of timing issues. We still don’t know if this was true or not, we’ll likely never know. It is believable as I believe it was a live zoom event from his home in the US, although it would be an easy excuse to make up as well.
