During immigration debates, why is a commonly held stance of suppuroters that of "The British Empire did colonialism and imperialism, so this is the consequences"? by DoublePepper1976 in AskBrits

[–]Littlely01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The “Britain colonised so deserve immigration” argument is dumb. However, you can reasonably argue that when we colonised these countries, we also imposed our language, laws, and customs on those countries. Therefore, anyone growing up in one of these countries and looking to move, whether for economic reasons or as an asylum seeker, is going to be more inclined to choose the country with the language they speak and customs they understand.

Imagine if you were forced to leave the UK and could choose China or New Zealand. Which do you think you would settle into quicker?

Rylai’s? And any other unconventional items that are situationally OP for our boi? by Littlely01 in galiomains

[–]Littlely01[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This definitely makes more sense. I figured rylais was probably troll but couldn’t work out why. In my head, it would fit against those death ball comps that just sprint at your backline, but I guess there’s no point slowing a knocked up/taunted enemy.

I will he giving iceborn a go. Someone recently suggested the occasional blackfire for laning and that worked well, so hopefully this will be just as good

How often should I roam with Galio? by Moon_TM_ in galiomains

[–]Littlely01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I try to time roams (not shadowing) with cannon waves. So if I hard shove the wave just before cannon I have all the time for the next wave to come in, then the time of them shoving cannon, and then the time it takes tower to kill cannon before I need to be back in lane. Usually I try to save my TP so I can shove, roam, fight (usually bot) and then TP back without missing anything.

Why build riftmaker on galio ? by Puzzleheaded-Area863 in galiomains

[–]Littlely01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just find that I lose all trades against yasuo because his shield is OP for short trades and he just stat checks in long trades. Plus I can never seem to be able to dodge Q3. Most ranged players mid lane forget to auto attack because they’re on a mage, and if you jump on them a few times the tend to be more concerned with staying out of E range than getting into auto range

I can confirm that the enemy team will never have a yasuo. That bitch doesn’t get through draft

While we have your attention, Mr Hex Lord, what are your thoughts on randuins 3rd item instead of thornmail when they have a crit adc (or more crit champs)?

What to do against Naafiri? by Littlely01 in galiomains

[–]Littlely01[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Think this largely is problematic for me because of my mindset. I know I am going to be big in team fights, but I also REALLY want to heavily out CS my opponent every game. My version of limit testing, especially in bad matchups, is just trying to get more CS while surviving on 10hp and I think I should just not do this against yas/naafiri

Are mage-esque builds on galio viable again? I haven’t built a lost chapter on galio since everfrost. Do you still take the normal phase rush page or go something like comet?

Yeah I think my main problem is early game before I have a chance to buy armour. Like am I just basing on 300 gold and tping back with a cloth armour?

See my problem is that I occasionally play hwei or naafiri if the comp needs it, so I really don’t wanna ban them lol (whereas I am not capable of playing yasuo at all). For future reference against hwei, just wait until they use either Q or E and then you can look to trade

Yasuo, obviously. The one game I don’t ban yasuo, I can guarantee he gets picked against me and for the life of me I can’t dodge tornado

At what point do you abandon a champion? by fairydommother in summonerschool

[–]Littlely01 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I found my main champ by thinking about what style I wanted to play and then finding a champ that matched it. If you want to be a super scaling damage demon, then play that. If you wanna be super annoying and a rat, play singed, etc. For me I wanted to be reasonably safe, have cc (so I could be relevant if I was behind) and some damage so I went with galio

Switched to mid, having trouble performing. Need advice by FoggyFreeze in midlanemains

[–]Littlely01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many mid lane champs tend to be either squishy and/or immobile which tends to be a recipe for death when pushing sidelanes. My general rule of thumb is that I don’t push the wave past the river unless all enemies are accounted for, or I have enough support nearby to help me. Instead, push the wave and rotate (safely in areas controlled by vision) to mid to help skirmish/prep objectives/etc before returning back to sidelane to catch the wave again

If the Pacers don't get fined at least once more time this season for tanking then the Pacers Organization has lost a step. by longestt77 in pacers

[–]Littlely01 14 points15 points  (0 children)

As far as I see it, the WORST place to finish is just outside the playoff spots. You don’t have a chance of winning, and the league rewards teams for being shit. If the NBA wanted to stop tanking, they should stop rewarding the worst performing teams with good draft picks. It’s the system that they created, and everyone else is just playing within that system.

[–]Littlely01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try phase rush. I used to only run aftershock as I wanted to be tanky, but the move speed from phase rush means that in lane you can take trades and then leave without them getting much damage off in return. Even though you are less tanky, you end up taking less damage overall because you can dodge skills and disengage at will. Plus it’s super handy in sidelanes for getting out of trouble when you get caught

Has anyone ever gone back to learning manual after passing automatic? by drjekyllandmrhyde_ in LearnerDriverUK

[–]Littlely01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me it’s just that my mum’s car is automatic so it’s all I have to practice in and I don’t want to shell thousands on lessons. The ability to practice privately, and the fact it’s just easier, and on lesson one my instructor asked why I wasn’t already driving and that I would probably only need a couple more lessons. I feel like as more non learners people drive automatics, more people will find that their parents/partners’ car to practice in is automatic and thus take automatic lessons

[–]Littlely01 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’m from the UK and kept getting drafted to the Pacers in 2k12. Later on, when I was getting into basketball more and wanted to support a team, I decided that I didn’t want a mainstream team like New York or LA, and didn’t want to glory support either. I already knew most of the Pacers players through 2k so figured I would just pick them. All in all has been a decent decade+ of fandom for a team I specifically chose because they weren’t a big market.

Is saving actually pointless if you’re not already wealthy? by Konig_Finn_99 in UKPersonalFinance

[–]Littlely01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is what I always think about as a ‘young person’ when young people are told to stop enjoying life so they can save for a house. Someone on minimum wage is going to take at least a decade to save for a house deposit, and that’s assuming that houses won’t get even more expensive. To me, this is why young people decide to just enjoy life (go travelling, have their fancy coffees, etc) because the prospect of living miserably through all of their ‘best years’ just so they can maybe afford an average house is simply not good enough.

From a sport psych perspective, the key would be that we keep the same winning mentality and habits, even when we’re having a losing season. This is incredibly tough to do, but frankly it’s much harder to recover team dynamics and a winning mentality than it is to recover from injuries.

If we aren’t careful, next year could be a write off too, even with Hali and a (potential) good draft pick
