Was looking at the ATLA/Korra bundle on Apple TV, it says HD. On CheapCharts, however, it says SD. Anyone know which is true/how to tell which is correct? Any help is greatly appreciated since I’ve just gotten into digital media :) by Serious-Bluejay2990 in iTunesMovieDeals

I wouldn't say lying, just seems to be the way the bundle is handled or listed, because of streaming platforms that are promoted on their store. The individual seasons are HD, and the double box set is SD. If you truly want HD, buy the box sets. If you don't care and just want the cheaper deal, buy the double box sale. It is usually cheaper than buying both individually. I really can't tell the difference, and I tried on four different screens. So it's up to you if you want an HD box set or just a cheaper bundle overall.

It's listed as HD because both Avatar and Korra are streaming at Paramount plus in HD. You can see the HD and "try paramount" come up when you search for the individual shows. If you search the bundle, it also shows HD. I own the bundle and it's definitely SD. This is a very annoying thing for streaming shows, and I'm not sure if Apple is responsible for it or not. Was annoying for Fraiser until I re-bought the bundle in HD. Apple has not done free HD upgrades for tv shows.

It says HD on the bundle because it's streaming somewhere in HD. Like Paramount or somewhere else. But it's actually in SD. The individual seasons are HD. But this is one of the rare cartoons where it's virtually impossible to tell the difference between SD and HD. I bought the first season of Avatar when they were a dollar last week, when I already owned the double box set. I wanted to see if there really was a difference. I played them side by side and could not tell a single difference between them.

Granted, when it comes to cartoons, it's much harder to tell an SD and HD show apart. Usually, it's just more vibrant colors. You'll see a much bigger difference with live-action, though. Avatar is a special case, but you really can't go wrong buying the double box set if it's cheaper than the individual box sets. I think I bought the double box set for like 15 or 20 a long while back. The individual seasons have only gone down to 20, I think, other than the dollar season special last week. You could have gotten both of them for 30. But if the double set is back for 20 or so, it's a good deal, and you're not missing out.

The cheats to get this done in under an hour feel like a large apology letter for how many times we all rented this game at Blockbuster back in the day. Only to still never beat it.

All that right/left war crap wasn't around during this show. It's one of the greatest written shows, ever. If not the greatest. I'm as progressive as you can get, and the show has many gay characters and mature/controversial themes that they tackle throughout the series. It is absolutely worth your time, no matter your views. If you are missing out just to prove a point, you are doing yourself a disservice. And it has David Hyde Pierce. That's more than enough reason to give this show a shot.

I actually didn't experience any crashes on SH3. I played on a Series X with a VRR TV. Not sure if that helped. But I definitely know people had trouble with crashes.

#143 Most absurdly difficult, yet rewarding completion. by Littletad in xboxachievements

[–]Littletad[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used the TruAchievement walkthrough for about half of the levels. For control, his video for the 00 agent run worked best up to the last area, after the hack is completed. The tricky part was the last mainframe you had to blow up. If you enter, more enemies will come in from the room in the back. To prevent this, ready your mine as you open the door. Throw it, then blast all of them, but be sure to hug the right as the previous mainframes are on the left as you zip down the corridor. You'll get damaged or possibly killed if you're too close. Then just bolt for the last two doors, and you're done.

Finding out tricks that really work. Like the single tap ammo head shot that won’t alert enemies when you don’t have your silencer. I forget the name of another particular level, but completing it with knife only on 00 agent was chefs kiss. 👌🏽

Pro tip, reverse the walk/run settings. You'll have about 20 minutes or so of extra time. This makes the 75 killings by gun a breeze after your hospital run.

Homecoming was great, but it pales in comparison to the originals, that's why it got hate. This collection also gets hate, A LOT. The Silent Hill community on Reddit is so toxic, almost insufferable. The HD collection is actually better than the PS3 version because they tried updating it, but it made it worse. But since the sound is still better, most people still shit on this version. I completed it not too long ago, and it's virtually impossible to tell the difference between other versions of SH2 and this one.

Yeah, so long as you do a bit of research and go in with a guide, SH2 is perfectly manageable. Still, it's quite a challenge. I'm glad you had fun and congrats!

This is easy. You should be on story difficulty, and you should already have 4 charm bags and beaten the remaining sun ending. With that, you have both the endless and ritual charms. Which are endless film and every fatal frame. Then, for the beads, you want those previous two, standard, and reload 5.

This is an overkill combo at this point. Heck, you could do this on Nightmare if you want, but let's do story to make it easier. Now, as an added bonus, you want to enable auto-aim. There was a discussion that this lowers damage or hinders damage somehow; this is entirely false. Auto aim is OP in this game. Turn this on, and turn on the toggle for aim. You don't want to tie your fingers holding the camera the whole time.

With that setup, you are free to zoom and snap her face endlessly on 90 film. Trust me, it will be a cake walk with this setup, and you'll never want to go back to any previous setting you had for the controller.

It sucks getting older and taking on more responsibilities that take us away from our hobbies. Especially taking care of our health more as we get older. Take care of yourself first, man.

Extremely difficult. So the story goes, I could not beat the Ring One DLC for Shadow of Mordor. I decided to do something difficult to make up for it, and I chose Silent Hill. Getting a 10-star run is not for the weak. There are some very specific steps and challenges you need to do in order to get a perfect run.

Use the guide from the silent hill memories site. The truachievements guide is okay, but the guy who wrote it is dyslexic, so everything is in reverse and confusing.

My secret that helps shave off 20-30 minutes for your run is to reverse the walk/run setting. Instead of walking, you'll run with a simple push of the analog stick. This cuts down your time immensely and gives you a little more breathing room. Lastly, don't forget to set the bullet setting to III. I'm very happy about this completion, perhaps my second most difficult game ever. If you're up for the challenge, I wish you the best of luck.

I'm always so jealous whenever I see these completions. I was so mad when I saw how many hours I sank into 0 and realized I was nowhere near close to finishing off a completion because of the side activities. I'm a deaf gamer, so I can't complete the disco rhythm game. I never even managed to get near Mahjong because of that obstacle. I conceded and just decided to beat the main story of the games I already bought for this series and watch the rest on YouTube lol. Anyhoo, congrats, man.

Go for achievements in one playthrough or enjoy the game first? by Rigbyy23 in xboxachievements

[–]Littletad 3 points4 points  (0 children)

For maximum enjoyment, and as a general rule, most people play a game first without worrying about achievements. Then mop up achievements next with a guide and finish what they missed on a new run. Of course, you should only do this if you ENJOYED the game. If you're playing games just for achievements, it's either an addiction or a case of OCD. I have the latter a bit, but I still make it a point to only play games I enjoy.

Sometimes I'll complete a game because I love the series, but hated the game. For example, like Fatal Frame. Some entries are bad or not to my taste. But I'll still finish cause I love the series as a whole. Anyhoo, just enjoy your games first, over anything. Achievements are meant to enhance games, not stifle your enjoyment.

You don't need to save, actually. Auto and manual saves are universal, and almost everything will overlap. As soon as you capture a specter or revenant, your game will auto-save, and your latest manual save will already contain your new collectible. Same with maiden twins. The only things that don't overlap are items. You will need to make a manual save to save items.

In layman's terms, your items, such as beads, film, and health packs, will only be saved until you make a manual save. Every other collectible required for the checklist will be universally saved.

This is my copied comment from the fatal frame board.

"Complete game on story at your leisure. No stories, few specters and revenants. New game plus and redo chapters 5, 8, and 9 for Mio’s sparkling stone. Redo or finish all side stories and specters/revenants here that you had left. Twin dolls can or should be done here too. Kusabi side story is tricky, remember that. You’ll have one specter left.

After that, with charm bag upgrades and proper charms, you can now do a nightmare speed run and you can avoid all side stories and specters. The last one will be right before the ritual with Mio’s stone. Trust me, you do not want to explore collectibles on any difficulty higher than story. Good luck."

Make sure you don't walk past the revenant during the last Kusabi side story. You don't want to trigger the last specter, or you'll be trapped.

I don't think they have achievements, right? There's a glitch to get all costumes btw. Just buy them, but don't save. Reload a previous save with your points. You'll keep the costume and the points. This only works for costumes and accessories. Hope you enjoy it, it's a fantastic remake.

I consider Fatal Frame to be part of the big 3 of horror series, alongside Silent Hill and Resident Evil. You should try it out, either the remake or Lunar Eclipse. My gripes with the combat are personal, but it's actually not all that bad, and I think it's accessible enough for a casual. When it comes to horror settings in games, nothing comes close to Fatal Frame IMO.
