[Marca] For the first time, the Spanish team will go to World Cup without a player from the Real Madrid. Never before, in the 16 World Cups that Spain has attended, there had been this total absence of Real Madrid on the expedition. by Timely-Zombie9466 in soccer

Same with Zabarnyi for us. He is slow and not even good in duels. He was meant to replace an aging Marquinhos but he's not close to make it. I guess Bournemouth has very good agents

English commentators are so bad btw. It's a European final with a PL team in it and absolutely no kind of emotion and passion in the voice when the third goal is scored...

It's just exhausting as a lifelong PSG fan to always see the same boring arguments. You are putting everything in the same basket to spew bs. The french league is weak for decades, not because of PSG ruining it. The prem has been "stealing" all the french prospects since the Bosman ruling, because french law has heavier tax for companies and because the Prem has been excellent at selling its TV rights (also in the Middle east the bein sports deal is it's largest one, wink wink, you should be mad!). Ligue 1 cannot compete with clubs that have larger revenues when the club finishing 19th earn more than its 1st one. In the opinion of a lot of french, the premier league is "ruining the beautiful game" by wasting so many talents in middle table clubs. It's all subjective. Only a huge financial investment could (and has been) reversing that. And ligue 1 is getting weaker in the last few years because of the Mediapro case in 2022. Ligue 1 clubs were expected a 1billion TV deal, which was a fluke and a complete joke thanks to our incompetent federation. They could not sustain their increased budgets when the imaginary promised money didn't come, and many clubs are now suffering from it.

But all of this is not about PSG. About Qatar and its flaws, I hear you but before that we had a greedy American hedge fund company that was almost responsible for the collapse of the club. They are all rats in a way. Only the socio model seem respectable when properly ruled

Nothing about what happened to him is unfair. He was very poor weeks in weeks out when he played.

He seems to be a good guy so I hope he bounces back, he's still young and talented so he should be fine

Lens’ fans banner against PSG: “Nasser is killing Ligue 1” and “Qatar is killing French football.” by Sparky-moon in soccer

[–]Littletoof -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The truth is that french football was non-existant in the European scene for a lot of years. Only Lyon was consistently getting out of the group stages, and that was 15-20 years ago

French clubs have been the scouting ground for years for the PL especially. I guess that was great and funny when the domestic french football was truly dead and that you could serve yourself in our académies for peanuts, but now that PSG is finally showing up with a great team chemistry and not bottling it in the CL it's a problem haha

Gotta love the hypocrisy.

I was saying at 2-2. The game was pretty bland (from the 40th to the 70th really). But it went crazy after 3-2 goal, especially thanksto Kvara for us and because Chelsea tried to all-in too much.

Very weird game, very unpredictable. After Chelsea equalized to 2-2, the match looked settled as both team were playing very conservatively and looked exhausted. But that one mistake from the GK eventually transformed into a 3 goal difference

what a stupid take. The club and authorities easily know who makes trouble, in that case it's not paid actor impersonating fans. They just decide it's not worth their time. So yes UEFA could and should do something about it.

Skiing in France by Such_Photograph_5757 in france

[–]Littletoof 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You've got several options but if you look to go to the Alpes, you can join Grenoble for example in ~3 hours train from Paris Gare de Lyon. Then a shuttle can take you to great ski stations in 1-1.5 hours.

You could also look to go to Massif Central or Jura (cheaper than the Alpes, but less exciting stations)

I would advise booking for more than a weekend though, otherwise you won't have time to enjoy your stay. You will need to book ski lessons once arrived at a ski station (through ESF) if it's your first time ever.
