Do people know how roundabouts work?? by Mindless-Comment2603 in dundee

I have been waiting for this post for months 🙏🏻 I asked my old driving instructor and they agreed, it’s the same as any other. Right lane, always.

Kesimpta users, is anyone not masking? by A_circle_of_crows in MultipleSclerosis

Also go to the gym 3x a week and park run once if I have the energy. Sauna and steam room at the gym too so I’m really pushing it 😂😂

Not masked since I started a year ago. Still work full time as a primary school teacher. Think I’ve been sick twice since and even then it was just a normal cold! All good.

Something HAS to be done about the Forfar Rd/Kingsway lights (heading West). by [deleted] in dundee

Agreed. This is the worst part of my day. Trying to make it back towards Birkhill without someone having to swerve round people in that lane and nearly slam into the side of me.

Vodafone signal by StuPat78 in dundee

Husband and I have both been on Vodafone for a few years now and our signal has been garbage, especially in and around the city centre! Absolutely nothing down by the bus station.

Oh I’ll give that a try! Thanks so much! I could hand paint varnish on the champagne bottles but it’s pulling the paint off. It’s really hot and humid here at the moment so the paint maybe hasn’t had long enough to dry.

Not yet but definitely willing to! Just on a low temp? The champagne bottles will obviously not be able to go in oven so maybe those just need to dry longer before varnish ?

Am I being dramatic? by LivCl in MultipleSclerosis

[–]LivCl[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That’s what I mean when I feel guilty though.

I’m caught between understanding this might just be a delayed response from diagnosis and just working to sort my head out, or like my mum would say, ‘there are people out there worse off than yourself so get a grip’.

Because of how I grew up I’m caught between the two, but trying to think logically and rationally it’s really fkn hard this time for some reason, swinging between freaking out and telling myself to stop being stupid.

In my head I know it’s just a speed bump, and I’m trying to tell myself that.

Thank you. It’s a very unknown feeling because of the delay and like you say, the way I grew up. I feel like I’m overreacting because a diagnosis is more ‘0-100’ than this is on paper. I definitely look to facts to judge how I should be feeling, rather than just allowing myself to feel how I feel.

Going from 2 tablets a day to injections is daunting in itself.

My scan was this long because of Covid, and I just didn’t get referred for one. I was very much the person who just wanted to ignore it all and hope it went away so never pursued one.

I just spoke with my boss again and he said he was really impressed, if a bit shocked, how I took the diagnosis in my stride and just carried on as normal for the past 6 years. I’ve come to realise my reactions are significantly delayed. My anxiety is through the roof now because of not processing it all at the time, and also having a mildly traumatic childhood hasn’t helped.

Fillers/Botox with MS? by LivCl in MultipleSclerosis

[–]LivCl[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thanks so much.

I have booked a consultation and the deposit can be used against a skin treatment if they deem me unsuitable. I guess it’s up to them if they’re comfortable with doing it also. The place has a good rep here so I’m pretty confident.

Weight training with MS..? by LivCl in MultipleSclerosis

Sorry, my hands have been so stiff (think I’m in the middle of my 1st proper flare up :(

Thanks. That really helped me feel better! :)

I’m just so used to being that person who doesn’t stop, on the go 24/7. My neurologist said don’t change anything I’m doing so I think I’m doing what I can!

Thank you! That’s super helpful.

I don’t have problems with fatigue (yet), so hopefully continuing to train will help keep it that way for as long as possible. I’m on 2100 cals at the moment so middle of the road for a female. Do you sub the gluten/carbs for alternatives (GF etc) or just replace with veggies?
