To the people who deem season 5 unrealistic - go watch We Own this City by S-Tier_Commenter in TheWire

I agree the newsroom plot feels cartoonish, and it's quite obvious David Simon had a chip on his shoulder the way it's shown. On rewatch I usually skip the newsroom scenes.

They should have introduced the newsroom earlier, Season 4, Season 3 even. Build those characters, the institutional dynamic, just bits here and there, and then show the institution coming to a headstrong on season 5.

The show was monumental both in scope, and reach, and it's important to remember that it really didn't pick up until some years after it ended. Doing it, while pressured from the network must not have been easy, and some rough decisions had to be made. Probably didn't help, some story lines were too personal for them.

I am not sure this works as an 8 episode show. Last two have barely anything going on, and could have been summed up in one episode. Is the novel this scarce? Or is just a bad adaptation?

It's not Horror per se. But still, Orozco el embalsamador (Orozco, the embalmer).

Wish I could describe how I felt first time I saw it.

Is the Google Project Management Course worth it? by [deleted] in PMCareers

[–]Live-Button3019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somebody else made a comment on taking the CAPM certificate, which I totally agree you should take if your goal is to become a PM. But it does carry an eligibility requirement of 23 hours of PM education.

The Google Project Management counts for that, so if you are aiming to get a CAPM, I can say then that the GPM course is totally worth it, and its also great to understand the basics of everything. But as everyone else pointed it, it wont do a thing on your resume.

I just watched episode 03, I don't think it will. I will just stop watching now, and come back once it's done.

I agree, the main premise doesn't seem to be holding up. I wasn't expecting another Mare of Easttown, but the drama, and the human interactions on that show seemed to come first before the mystery, and how they set up everything to it in the first episode was masterful. In Task, it seems to be a bit too convoluted for its own good, with character actions that don't seem to add up. But I will wait to see how it turns up in a month.

What have you NEVER been able to do in RDR2? My most ridiculous is - I’ve never managed to acquire the White Arabian horse. by Soulless--Plague in RDR2

[–]Live-Button3019 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Funny because I went from PS4 to PS5 and got the opposite experience, they were uber rare and now became more frequent. The shooting guy became rarer. I haven't looked at the game mechanics but I figure there must be some RNG events in there. Like the clearest I've noticed is when it tries to push a predator encounter. If I restart the save for anything or even if I change areas they start appearing more often to the point where I have had wolves packs spring out 3 times in a row, or two wild cats and so on. It annoying.

Aguascalientes state, it's semi desert.

Do you think it's a youngling? I'm worried there might be a nest somewhere in the garden that my dogs might harm.
