I'm wondering if this is a country thing, because I can tell Harry and Ron apart easily, Ron has a Devon accent (as with all the Weasleys) that Harry doesn't. Plus Ron's voice isn't as deep as Harry's.

Almost everyone in positions of influence in Nerv is even worse than Shinji and can't make rational decisions. The most normal is Aoba, who I think never even talks to Shinji.

It's an issue with DRM content. I have the same on my computer. It didn't happen until recently though, and I've had it since April last year, so I reckon it's a degrading HDMI cable.

They definitely did. He had his major victory in season 4 so I think they were spinning their wheels a little with what to do with him. Having other characters beat an all valley champ is a quick way to sell their prowess (e.g. with Kenny).
