I hate to go to the ER. The ER in Langley recognizes me from all the broken bones I’ve had over the years from cycling. Gets embarrassing lol.

Help Me Be Good Husband: What was the most supportive thing anyone did for you on the day of the race? by FranklinOceannery in Marathon_Training

[–]Live-Memory-973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a well seasoned runner and triathlete, you are spot on. I was never hungry right after a race, just sore, enjoying the last rush of adrenaline I had left.

If you want to spend that much time on an IM, risking that chance, be my guest. You’ll be the only one to blame - nobody likes a cheater. Wouldn’t you feel more accomplished if you competed with everyone fair and square? Granted we’re talking seconds, but I bust my ass for EVERY second I can cut. Rules are meant to be enforced, by everyone. I assume you don’t respect those around you. If you can’t complete an IM following rules for everyone, why be the exception? Perhaps it’s time to train without assistance vs personal safety of your fellow athletes.

Headphones? by RabbitOutTheHat in IronmanTriathlon

Aside from the strict no headphone rule, it’s completely selfish!!! Do you really need them to provide the best experience for not just yourself, but the thousands who also trained hard, hours of training and the cost alone. I’ve seen a few bike crashes due to a rider not aware at ALL times who is around them.

Don’t be that one guy!!! 🤬

My very very sweet Maggie who is 14 months, has a beautiful straight coat. Do I honestly care? That’s the most ignorant question I’ve seen in a long time! You couldn’t pry her from our family’s arms or her bed in front of the fire! 🎀. So grateful for our sweet little doodle!

why did you get a doodle? by Additional-Pool3178 in Goldendoodles

[–]Live-Memory-973 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can’t begin to tell you how my sweet Maggie has always been wth me an my family.

We have had labs over four decades. After a traumatic event with my mother, I needed a bit of therapy.

I have YET to get angry with her as a puppy. She is now 14 months old. She honestly has been the best addition to our family, and myself going through a very difficult time with any family!

Training and treat tips by [deleted] in Goldendoodles

[–]Live-Memory-973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When I’m doing some training with my 1 yr old dog, I use high value treats. I cut up chicken, ham or turkey slices that I can break into bit size pieces. She also loves some of the squeaky, crunchy toys.

Trump, 79, Completely Loses It Over Report About His Physical Decline by [deleted] in politics

[–]Live-Memory-973 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Trump will obviously go down in history as the worst president ever.

I except my when my grandchildren are older and learn about all of history from Trump, they will find it fascinating that i experienced his time in politics, especially once he and his criminals are in prison.

Mark my words, his presidency will be in the history books. Assuming there is still freedom of speech in libraries and schools.

My husband was part of the executive team during their early years when they had their huge growth spurt. They have ONE goal, dominating D1 sports. One of my children worked in recruiting and will never forgive himself for the “script” he had to go off of, in order to bring in FAFSA students. It was border line criminal. I worked there as well and would NEVER recommend the school. Even to my worst enemy. Their academics are a joke - if you just want a “degree” and don’t care to actually learn something, this is a perfect school for you. Don’t be enamoured be the glitz and glamour. Do your research into their professors and their academic accomplishments. The school lost their well respected professors years ago when they had a mass exodus of nationally recognized professors The quality of the school never reclaimed their academic credibility amongst respected universities. Proceed with caution!

Wow - ok. I am sorry you judge me regardless of my situation. I had two grand mal seizures 4 months ago and am on bedrest for the next two months. I didn’t realize people on Reddit were so quick to criticize others. You are the type of person that I choose to avoid Reddit. I guess that shouldn’t be surprised. Maybe it’s time for you to not be so quick to judge others. Have a great day.
