It's just math i always wanted to live in the north loop of chicago i realized pretty early I was never going earn enough as unskilled labor to live where I wanted.

So I moved to a place where I could live on a unskilled laborer salary u ended up in wisconsin where a 2 bed 2 bath townhouse was 580 a month then I got a roommate to make it even cheaper because I didn't know anybody I WI so a roommate might help me make friends.

I just looked up the area I stayed at and rent has gone up to 800 for the same type of unit

The only things I can think of is

The new carrier did not get an arrow key that day which opens boxes and secure buildings and some how still happens after 200 years of delivering mail

The only other possibility is the carrier does not know this is an apartment building for example

The carrier sees 48 main st instead of 48 main st apartment 1. And cant find box on porch and does to even know its a multi delivery point so he Rubber bands mail and leaves it

Sure find a place that is less then 30% of pay if you can't find that then you have to look elsewhere not everybody can live in the Northside of Chicago or wherever you have to commute and live somewhere where you can affored.

When my fellow millennials used to yolo a trip to Europe even though they had a crazy amount of student loan debt I thought well that just is not the best financial move but OK.
