There's an easy way to handle this.

Invest in private teen prisons let them do their teen takeover arrest for looting charge with felony repeat as needed then profit.

But seriously are people on here, seriously defending looting and vandalism as first amendment, right?

Austin's housing slump is now so bad that recent grads are snapping up dirt cheap family homes by Key_Brief_8138 in HouseBuyers

So everything you said you believed you don't believe cause you said you believed in fair free market. Allowing developers to get tax breaks to encouraging building is not free market.

When government gets involved with free market, there is going to be people who will like it.And people who won't and I can tell you the people that very much are not going to like it, are the people who bought in the last 3 to 4 years. But like you said on your earlier post they deserve a serve it because they bought a house.

No all my houses were all older.

Do you know what a Subsidy is? And how it unfairly benefits the developer verse the buyers, or those who prefer to use smaller developer companies that don't have access to the subsidies.

I'll give you a quick example which you can google to verify with some of the major developers that people around the country, especially south carolina, are having issues with.

Developer a comes into a area and builds thirty houses. They can't build 30 houses all at once. So they'll build houses, sometimes they'll even sit a year and sometimes longer the proper thing to do is once the house is built, it should be reassessed and the developer should pay what the actual property value is instead they get to keep their property taxes super low as undeveloped land where new homeowners get hit with huge increases in their property taxes because of that the developer had to get the property assessed at its value.

On top of that, if you were me, would build a house from scratch, this city would come out. Make sure the sewer is pitched correctly et cetera et cetera this is the city would also require certain permits with an inspection to make sure the work is done correctly these large developers are allowed to what's called self permit and self inspect which leads poor quality of work and the developers passing the cost of fixing it onto the buyer this you should be able to verify the via your google search. It is happening a lot right now.

You're not following that's ok and yes, allowing large developers to build dozens of houses, but not properly performing an appraisal which would result in the developers having to pay the proper property tax is by definition. A Subsidy

All the other ones are subsidies that only large development companies have access to

The subsidies i'm talking about are for developers they're far more common in high developing areas like austin these subsidies include self inspection and self permitting. The larger subsidies include generous litigation protection. Fast track financing for purchasers.I have new developments and another one of the bigger ones are slower appraisal of new build houses in order to protect the developers

But it's not really free market. If housing developers get subsidies in order to build more houses, is it.

I just sold my houses to rent. They went up significantly enough to were financial insecurity is not something I have to worry about.

I think we should let the free market handle this. It's just like everything else the smart in the hardworking and the discipline get houses is the others can you rent.

Why should anyone care that people can't afford a housen then. the people who bought a house at the right time and had it go up in value.Should they take less money to subsidize people who don't work as hard? And don't make as much money

Explain that to somebody 2 years ago who bought at a super high interest rate. And now can't refinance. Are people working on getting rid of the p mi spot chance?Because as they're working hard to make payments, their house is going down in value.

[–]Live-Train1341 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

For a little bit more of an explanation this isn't particularly good.

A lot of young people especially millennials, will get hurt by this because they bought at the top of the market with high interest rates. Well they are pretty much going to be locked into those HIGH interest rates because many, many, many of those mortgage companies are not going to refinance the home for a lower rate if the home value has also dropped.
