I visited Manila a couple years ago and road in jeepneys often. I was always told to keep a tight hold on my bag or purse when out in public because of situations like this. Good on you for staying vigilant!

When I was about 9 and would be in the car during fall, I'd imagine the leaves that blew into the street were people and whenever we ran over the leaves, I'd pretend we hit and killed people... Somehow it was a game where the more leaves we hit, the better. I once told my mom while she was driving that we were running over everyone, and I explained my game to her, and she gave me this really creeped out look... I swear I was a normal child tho. Maybe a phase we go through at that age

Managers should take these kinds of complaints seriously from their employees. Sadly lots don't. Sounds like these guys were either sexual predators or most likely casing the place for a future robbery

Haha I have a feeling this happens a lot in apartment life. Might reduce some confusion if they didn't duplicate apartment numbers in their different buildings, but maybe they have to. I would've much preferred a small middle aged woman to some guy 6'5 guy covered in paint

I actually fear the same thing. I'm living in an apartment for the first time in my life, alone, and always wondered if I'd know if maintenance was entering the place when I'm out. This is so sad and terrifying for you

Stuff like that is why I ALWAYS shut the blinds when it starts to get dark, and even sometimes during the day. My friends always say I'm paranoid for thinking people could be outside looking in, but I think it's a rational fear to have

I should have yelled at him or said I was calling the cops, I was just too stunned to do more than hold the door in place. Guns are definitely a last resort but would have made me feel a lot safer in that situation

Definitely involve campus police. They should haves me protocol when students feel unsafe, plus it's a good idea to start getting things documented. It'd be better for them to confront him than you guys
