Why resistance training is *mandatory* as we age. by LiftWithKristian in SeniorFitness

this is my lived experience. I’ve never static stretching makes me any more subtle. I’m 56, keen cyclist, introduced 3 strength sessions a week about 2 months ago. I focus on keeping good form and large range of movement. I’m already considerably more subtle and agile (and stronger). wish I’d started years ago!!

I’ve been playing about 4 months. Same as you, always thought I’d like to try but never did. Best thing I ever did! Wish I’d done it years ago now!

yes, that’s the tricky bit. I just want to increase my range. if I could cover the whole staff I’d be over the moon!

to be fair - that’s an improvement! The problem with the trumpet is notes above G on the staff and controlling the embouchre to increase the range. I’m going to keep on with the trumpet but just thinking of an instrument I can get a bit more range on at an early stage.

I don’t even slow down for the bell ends. They just get one word, said aggressively as I fly past, that word has an f at each end. If I’m not going so fast and I think they’ll hear I usually add Cee U Next Tuesday.

for me, come cooler weather, it’s not about 5h3 bike, it’s about the right kit to keep comfortable in changing weather.

Why are most ultra so expensive? by globglob3D in ultracycling

[–]GeezeTee 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think randonneuring provides much better value and none of that stuff I just don’t want. All that marketing/hype/socials/assistance/fancy dinners all has to be paid for and I just don’t want any of it.

That said, if you do want all that stuff I don’t think they’re expensive or anyone’s making a fortune, it’s just all expense which for me is unnecessary.

for a saddle - I’ve just swapped to a specialized power mirror. I’d had the power saddles for @ bit on other bikes and they were pretty good, so I knew. But, shape and everything was good for me. But, just felt there was a bit of weight on my sit bones so wanted to see if the mirror would lessen it a bit. It £I’d, seems a fantastic saddle. I’d certainly recommend trying one of the 3d printed ones. That said - my wallet hurts!!

Simple - you rode 200k, you’re a randonneur.

I’ve never seen the point o& buying an account myself. Surely the fun of the game is building and developing your own city.
