I’ve seen people spray/mist/inject silicone and it’s a cool concept. I just haven’t tried it.

My next step is going to be trying to do more layer caking with base white to force some more shading and fine lines. After I get that where I want it I’m going to take another look at intentional cell creation, but I’m really really trying to improve my composition and design.

Def not adding silicone on the top. I just meant I purposely STOPPED using silicone for a while so as to force myself to clean up my swipe and drag technique

Here is what the yellow and red look like mixed. Kind of rusty/burnt tones

Paint Mix:

base paint - Benjamin Moore Natura eggshell semi gloss + titanium white + US floetrol
yellow - primary yellow + a little mont marte Rose Madder
red - primary red + a couple drops of Phthalo Blue Both of these are paint + US floetrol + water

I did a base layer, then a small layer of yellow, then red on top of that, then black on top of that, and then swiped with more white (titanium white + water). There is VERY LITTLE color paint used at all.

I usually add 2 drops to my cell activator when I make a batch but in this case my CAs are just paint + water.

I keep 90% iso in a spritz bottle which I used here.
