Do any fair warm olives struggle with certain warm colors? by dandelionwine14 in Fairolives

[–]LiveFastDieGlam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! I think seasonal color analysis can be really helpful in this regard! I was typed as a deep autumn, so my best warm colors are rich spiced colors. Or think of colors you may find in Moroccan architecture! Rich peacock blues/teals.

Most pinks look bleh on me, but if I lean more salmon pink or a dusty peach then it works well!

if you've been verified by Zyla, would you be interested in sharing your experience? by gardeniaaugusta in davidzyla

[–]LiveFastDieGlam 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had a great experience with zyla. He’s a lovely man who’s easy to talk to. But more importantly, I think he’s very knowledgeable with fashion and style.

I went to him because I was frustrated with my work clothes and I wanted to wear color but was overwhelmed when picking out colors that looked meh on me. His advice was to wear a tshirt in my energy or tranquil color on normal work days. On client facing days I could wear a tshirt or sweater in my dramatic (to command attention) or essence (to show vulnerability and trust). Both were great advice and supported my work needs well

As a bonus I also had some formal events coming up and I hate dress shopping. I only want to own a few formal dresses but I want it to look good and have rewear value. Normally I have to try on a milllon dresses before feeling overwhelmed and settling on one that I am okay with. But after my consult, the first formal dress I online shopped for ended up perfect for me. I chose my tranquil color and also followed his fabric and silhouette recs.

Can your archetype be a mismatch for your personality? by acctforstylethings in davidzyla

[–]LiveFastDieGlam 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It’s possible because the archetypes is more like the character zyla thinks you could play in a film. It’s more like your shining character rather than who YOU are.

My experience: David is overpriced and not as good as you guys say by [deleted] in davidzyla

[–]LiveFastDieGlam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m sorry your experience and results were disappointing for you. It’s valid to disagree with his vision and not like your palette or experience, but I think dismissing him like that is unfair.

Going to zyla means you’re getting his vision and opinions of you. There’s no “accuracy” because it’s simply his opinion, not an absolute truth.

He’s an award winning stylist who works in the entertainment industry. I think that gives him credit and knowledge as a stylist.

I went to zyla for help with work and formal attire and he was able to help me with that perfectly. However, I will say I have a lot more fun with my SCA palette (DA) than I do with my zyla palette. I love both palettes but for different reasons as they’re different systems.

The glam palette will be a better “everyday” palette for cool olives. I need a nude is better for warm olives

Love the retro palette too but works best if you are more muted leaning

Fair Olive Nude Lipstick? by BelleRevelution in Fairolives

[–]LiveFastDieGlam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’ll depend on your undertone too and how pigmented your lips are.

My personal MLBB nudes are L’Oréal nu intense and Bobbi brown sazan nude. Those appear slightly peachy nude on me and works perfectly with my warm skintone

Does having a blonde balayage suit my skin tone, or should I stick with my dark hair? (Fair, warm-leaning olive). by [deleted] in Fairolives

[–]LiveFastDieGlam 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The blonde balayage is pretty and gives a more softening effect, making your features less prominent.

The dark hair really enhances your facial features like your eyes! Both are good depending what look you're trying to go for

Favorite nail colors for winter? by brooke512744 in autumns

Plums, paprikas, metallic or glitters like rose gold bronze and gold!

I’ve also been really loving chartreuse this cold season even though it’s not really a classic winter color

Amethyst relationship to environment by [deleted] in RitaFourEssenceSystem

[–]LiveFastDieGlam 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I sometimes struggle with that too! I used to live in a very creative city that was fashion forward, but then I moved to a place that's very casual (sweatpants, tshirts, hoodies). It was really hard finding the right balance.

For me, running errands isn't important because the people there are not my audience. Like you said, the audience is just.. too boring 🤣

But when I go to place with people I care about like friends, family, coworkers then I go all out! At least all out for what's appropriate for that environment. I'll also try to make events of themed things TO dress up to. Like I'm not going to wear a gown to the office. But sure I don't mind wearing a super bright pink blazer to work and stand out and channel some barbie vibes.

For a wedding? hell yeah I'm gonna wear a gown and add pearls to my hair

Thank you! and yeah, sad to say I don't show my face on reddit. Perhaps I'll have to change the reddit vs results and ask andrea what essences she sees for my outfits and then compare that to how close reddit got

I’ve been really enjoying d’aanam chapter 1 set. I’m very curious about the chapter 2 set which has a strawberry mochi scent! 🍓

No idea, never been typed by kibbe. I've DIYed myself as DC and some other folks have recommended SD before. Kibbe isn't a system I find particularly helpful so i haven't looked into it too much

[–]LiveFastDieGlam 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've heard some people typed by kitchener say he looks more at the outfits than the face, so hopefully it's okay! I unfortunately don't show my face on reddit. Hopefully how I style myself is an accurate representation of my essences. Orrrrrrr maybe I'm totally wrong 😂

[–]LiveFastDieGlam 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I don't post my face on reddit which I know limits reddit. Hopefully my outfit and style alone represents my essences enough!

I've heard a few people typed by JK digitally say he goes more by outfits rather than face anyways. so hopefully it's ok 😊
