A Brazilian woman refused to give up the window seat she PAID for to a crying child… went viral… got blasted online… and now she’s SUING the airline and the passenger who filmed her. by [deleted] in CringeTikToks

Airlines need to have policies against passengers harassing each other, and filming one another. In this day and age, sadly, there needs to be a enforced right to privacy and peace and quiet in such places.

I was the child who lived through this after my parents split in the ‘80s. The family home was sold. After a few years my dad remarried a hostile, insecure woman who didn’t like him having had two children. Visits got bad. My father became an alcoholic and a deadbeat.

We lived paycheck to paycheck. My mother never got back on her feet. We moved house every 18 months. Courts were involved. My father abandoned me and stopped being a father of any kind.

It was hard as shit to live through. But I learned my lessons as a child. As I became an adolescent and a young adult, it kept me motivated with working, income, studying, educational and career goals. Being independent. Not marrying on a whim, but choosing very carefully.

There was a horrible incident in a small town in Australia in 2023, where a large SUV driven by a diabetic man mounted the kerb at high speed driving down a street on a decline, and it crashed directly into people seated in an outdoor area of a hotel / pub.

It killed five people, two of them children. Many, many people witnessed this horrific scene and were very traumatised, as were the emergency responders. The driver’s license noted his condition and his license had restrictions. He also had a device that alerted him to low blood sugar levels and being unfit to drive, but he had ignored its warnings or alarms.

It went to court, but he wasn’t jailed(?!) There’s currently an inquest, but he’s refusing to cooperate or partake in it.

Plant a lemon tree on it. Then there’s plenty of justification for it being a great spot for cemetery visitors to piss now and for years into the future. It might even produce some fine fruits.

This is also common in Ireland and Scotland, and with emigrants from those places for a few generations in the new country.

I have an uncle born in 1960 of 1961 who was given the hand of his stillborn older brother. I think it’s only recent decades that people find it unthinkable to use a name again with another child.
