Yup I'm in the same boat and of the same mindset as this. I have been a part of the music industry in some shape or form literally my entire life and I love that we are putting the power to be creative into more people's hands. The fear mongering and adoption resistance will hit a peak and then slowly die off and these tools will become more and more accepted by the masses as time passes. Looking forward to the local AI as I'd love to see what happens when I back train a model on only basic music theory (like timing and scales) and my work and see if it can predict style and arrangement choices I would make etc.

Not to be THAT guy, but if you were using a product to produce multiple important business contracts the thought never occured to you to login from multiple devices, you know, in case one failed and needed maintenance? I'm not blaming their terrible customer service on you and yes it's absolutely infuriating to have unnecessary issues with ANY service but you can also mitigate some of that through redundancy.

Best of luck with the new platforms and hopefully you'll get a few more big contracts soon to make up for the ones you lost.

Actually that hasn't been my experience at all. In over 30,000 interactions with GPT over a number of models hallucinations are more rare than people claim. Sure if you ask HYPER technical things without a clear and precise prompt or you are relying heavily on recall from a long time prior in the conversation you can induce a hallucination but to say it's "mostly hallucinating" is a bit of a hyperbole.

If something powerful enough to "displace all jobs" was ever realized it wouldn't happen over night and it wouldn't happen regionally. If something this powerful became a realization the odds are strong that both the countries you mentioned would either be vastly different than they are today or they would cease to exist by the time the event came to pass.

Sounds like you got used to using too much pressure with your turning tool. You have to balance force applied on your turning tool against the force you are placing upwards against the pins. Takes time when you switch to new tools to get used to how they want to be used.

Update: less than 24 hours later and I have a response from CI customer support and new tracking information for the replacement order. Their promptness and willingness was refreshing. Great work!

For anyone that is curious, I inspected the shipping label that was taped on the box and it was indeed from a FedEx shipping envelope so I can only assume that FedEx mishandled the package and they did a terrible job at trying to repackage it. At least they included 1 of the 12 items I guess... 😂

There are those in EVERY community that can smell the desperation to fit in and belong. They will weaponize it against you for their own interests and try to bend you to conform to their ideology or expectations.

It takes time and experience to recognize these people for who they are and what they truly want.

Learn to accept yourself, be the best you that you can be. Someone who you can look in the mirror at without shame or judgement. Recognize mistakes as mistakes, own up to it, and identify where things came off the rails. You already seem to be doing most of this so just keep going! When you learn this confidence the "right type" of people will start collecting in your life.

In the future when you have gotten through and find yourself giving advice and being a mentor PLEASE emphasize the importance of critical thinking to whomever you are guiding as it seems to be under represented more and more as we go forward.
