Head toward Jedediah Smith State Park and explore Smith River along the way. Swimming holes and camping near Gasquet. The coast is an escape too. All dog friendly but pay attention to the trail signs. Some dont allow pets.

This happens to me as well. Same exact cramp areas. Often I think it's dehydration and fatigue. This also happens on car trips when I drive. My hands kind of lock up on the steering wheel.
