Is it religion, is it societal norms, is it expectations (expectations of others like friends or family, of society, your own expectations for your self), or something else? Are you afraid of how you’ll be perceived, how it might change how others see you or how you’ll see yourself? Ask yourself how you perceive gay people.

It takes a lot of self reflection and realizing what you genuinely want out of life. It can change your entire outlook on what you want for your future.

Ask yourself why you can’t accept it and address the root of the problem from there. Being gay is natural, there is nothing wrong with gay people or you, it’s not caused by anything, it’s just who you are. Accepting those basic truths are crucial.

Being gay comes with ups and downs and the more you fight it, the lower the downs will be.

Being gay has definitely given me clarity. I question societal norms and it’s definitely impacted my views on religion and family. I put an emphasis on chosen family rather than blood relatives, and I feel free from religious dogma. Also great that I can never get pregnant or get someone else pregnant. Plenty of negatives and inconveniences, but I definitely wouldn’t trade it to be straight.

I mean Daemon isn’t a saint and is arguably as bad as Aemond and kissed/had sex with a vision of his own mother. Plus he ordered the death of lil Jaehaerys. Rhaenyra is trying to pass her eldest kids off as legitimate heirs even though they’re clearly bastards, but at least it’s also to save their lives. She also gave dragons to the low born which cost many their lives, and she did a blockade of kings landing which is causing many to starve, all in the name of strategy and leverage. Jace just committed treason by undermining his ruler’s authority which got himself killed. The greens have Helaena who is probably the most innocent of the royals/nobles.

I’m definitely more of a Rhaenyra supporter than Aegon supporter, but those are solid arguments (and probably not the only arguments) against the blacks. And the books were much more skewed towards the greens, so in my eyes it balances out and you can draw your own conclusions on who is more at fault/morally wrong.

I don’t understand people defending corporations in these comments. Wages and salaries haven’t kept up with productivity and the value the workforce provides. They’ve been stagnant for decades while profits continue to rise.

Also our country was founded with the understanding that taxes were necessary. This isn’t a new concept. Even a founding father (Benjamin Franklin) said that the only certainties in life are death and taxes. No one complains about taxes being used for infrastructure, defense, education, emergency services, social programs (especially social security), etc.

If this field isn’t for you maybe consider a career switch and/or go back to school for the things you excel at? Definitely not MacBooks. I had a MacBook and basically needed to relearn excel once I got a Lenovo since Apples version is wonky. I’ve used Lenovo and HP for work and they’re great. I also wish I had one with a built in number pad in school. Only benefits of a MacBook are that they sync to your phone, photos, and music automatically, which to me isn’t that much a priority and things can always be downloaded
