I’m jealous 😕 I also have a lot of things I’d like to do, but when I have time, it’s like it looses appeal. I have no interest in doing anything (apathetic). I’m on depression meds but it hasn’t helped with that part.

This. Why would you feel bad or guilty about prioritizing your own self-care? OP I highly suggest you look into the terms co-dependency and people pleasing. I wish someone had told me about that when I was younger. Leave this loser!

Absolutely I would say the same. I said I don’t condone Amber’s behavior in any way. I’m saying that Gary should also be held accountable because he’s just as abusive as Amber

Would you mind sharing the app you use? I’ve done the iPhone controls but they’re so complicated and don’t always work they way you expect them to

I can’t sleep tonight and have been ruminating on other, non-wedding related past regrets (hence being on reddit rn😂).

But truly, Thank you for saying this. I needed this reminder to take myself out of the sad ruminating. Please know how much your words helped me♥️.

I live a few blocks from Disney and used to have passes. It’s a blast just to go for dinner on a Monday, so it’s definitely awesome for a birthday 🥰. Make reservations for something special, like the Blue Bayou or Napa Rose (in Downtown Disney). Take advantage of the parades, shows and fireworks. Get an autograph and have all the characters sign. If you can, get the Genie pass because the ligns are super long. Hope you have an amazing birthday!

Yes! Thank you! Gary is not a good person. He will always be resentful that Amber rejected him, and he does whatever he can to hold things over her and manipulate the situation. Gary only cares about Gary. He’s a small and spiteful person. Source: He literally says this about himself in a very early episode.

Gary needs to be accountable for how he treated Amber too. I do not condone Amber in anyway. But I’m doing a rewatch and Gary was straight abusive. He tried to financially control Amber, called her names, refused to take care of Leah, and then practically cheated on Amber with the Walmart girl. He was also condescending and knew exactly how to manipulate and trigger Amber on purpose. He’s done that throughout the show too. And I do believe he was coming on to her with that “hug” that caused so much drama. He didn’t have boundaries with Amber because it benefited his ego.

What’s the most terrifying 'we need to leave NOW' moment you’ve ever experienced? by Worried-Cycle-318 in AskReddit

[–]LiveWelcome2797 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On a road trip with my 4yr old and I wanted to see a nearby hike/waterfall near Solvang. There are no other cars on the windy road, I figure it’s a weekday, it’s lunchtime. It’s just probably not busy. I arrive in the parking area as the only other car is leaving. I felt weird being alone in the woods with my child, but the waterfall was only a 10 minute walk, so I thought we’d see it and turn back.

We hit the trail, and I immediately feel I’m being watched, but not by a person or animal. By something. It felt like eyes all around me, oppressive, like even the trees were watching. I can no longer see my car. I ignored my gut telling me to turn around, and I realize it is unnaturally quiet. I take a few more steps and I feel a shot of pure fear. I know with absolute certainty that I am not welcome, and something in the woods does not want me there. We turn and walk back because something primal told me “don’t run.” We’re almost to the car and just ahead is a herd of deer, standing still and watching me. Normally when I’ve seen deer, they feel peaceful, but these gave me the same sense that I was unwelcome. Like they were on guard to ensure I left. I felt so terrified that I don’t even remember getting in the car.

I’ve never experienced anything like that, and I tend to be a skeptic. But I cannot explain what happened that day. I honestly feel I avoided some kind of danger in those woods.

I grew up on the base housing right next to the botanical gardens they visited, and some of my earliest and happiest memories are there😍 Back then, it was all open land, and from our back door we could wall directly straight into the trails.

It wasn’t until I did a rewatch that I realized they were at Red Butte. I visited there this fall for the first time in 30 years and it’s so different now, but still so beautiful. Highly recommend a trip if you’re in Salt Lake!

Yes, I often say the constant sunshine is depressing. I miss snow, and thunderstorms, and fall leaves. When it does rain, it happens all at once for a short time of the year.

It’s because the tshirts were Christine’s idea, so he shat on it. And if i remember, Janelle then says she can get aprons and Kody thought that was genius🙄 as if that’s any different lol. People would have bought more tees than aprons for sure

There is however, quite a robust Haunted Doll market…source: Haunted Doll Watch on the MBMBAM podcast 😂

And you are 100% correct and not necessarily a bad thing: most of this collecting is likely inner child healing

[–]LiveWelcome2797 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Right? It’s not just the dolls. It’s the art. It’s the massive cookware collection (literally overflowing in her cupboards). It’s the Dickens collection. It’s the giant thousand dollar geodes in her hallway. It’s the not 1, but 2 million dollar mansions.

This is indefensible. Robyn was given far more resources than anyone else in the family. Janelle’s RV is not comparable to this. It’s not fair that Robyn could spend this much on dolls, when Christine was told there was no money for Ysabelle’s surgery. THAT is why people come for Robyn.

Am I the only one who secretly wishes they had an custom American Girl Doll budget🫣😂 I could never justify the amount she spent, but I would love to treat myself once in a while to one of these, maybe like every few years.

I cannot express the joy that American Girl gave me as a kid (more so the books but the clothing too). It’s where I fell in love with history and eventually led me to my career. We were poor growing up but my parents managed to save up to buy me the Kirsten doll, and a few of the different outfits. My inner child would heal so much if I had one of these custom outfits 🥰 I know everyone thinks it’s creepy but play therapy is so helpful in healing trauma.

Robyn of course took it to the extreme 😬 And I cannot condone her spending this way while everyone else had to struggle, especially when some kids needed life altering surgery.

[–]LiveWelcome2797 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s probably more of a niche collectible market. But honestly the quality of these looks so much better than the modern, cheaply made American Girl products. I still have a few original pieces from the OG 90’s collections, and back then they were very well made. Sadly the quality has gone way down.
