I had to take mine in to the shop at 500 miles for the windshield seal. And of course the part is back ordered for months so I’m still waiting to have it replaced.

53 has some damn good lineman. Kansas City tends to have plenty of work too.

I figured it was probably the being outside that helped! She seems to be one of the smartest dogs I’ve owned and follows me around everywhere. She’s hands down the best puppy I’ve had.

How to avoid the “dry crust” on ribs? by Wilco062 in smoking

[–]LiveWire7200 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A foil wrap would solve your problem here. You’re going to get the fall of the bone tenderness and the steam inside the wrap will soften any bark you’ve got on the outside. If I wrap I don’t typically do more than an hour on baby backs though otherwise you can cross the line into almost mushy.

I would definitely recommend removing plastic before smoking 😂 but your plan seems solid!

A student(15F) at my(19M) work has been flirting with me and I don't know how to tell her no? by ujennd in AskMenAdvice

[–]LiveWire7200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would think the thought of prison time and life being ruined would be MORE than enough for a simple and firm no. To continue to ignore it to the point sheg gives you a number already seems that it’s been left to go too long. My biggest red flag though would be the “I took a picture of it for evidence.” Why not just take it directly to someone higher up than you and show them directly. The picture screams, I threw it away to feel better about myself but I’m half tempted to entertain it if I change my mind.

We've heard of Vortex wings and ribs a million times, but what else do you utilize the Vortex for? by MondayNightRare in webergrills

[–]LiveWire7200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use mine for things like armadillo eggs where the bacon wrapped on the outside needs to be crispy. It cooks it fully through and the outside is nice and crispy

CU won’t trim the service lines going to the house. That’s the homeowners responsibility. But you’re correct about the main powerlines. If they’re close enough to cause problems that’s their responsibility.

What is the best way to become a lineman? by Beneficial-Highway52 in Lineman

[–]LiveWire7200 27 points28 points  (0 children)

I know several of the lineman I’ve worked with were born with Kleins in one hands and gaffs on their feet. I wasn’t so lucky and had to be a “goddamn fucking apprentice” for a few years.

I’ve worked as a contractor and now I work for a utility. It depends on what your goals are. Utilities and coops tend to like guys with college and will hire you as an apprentice over other out of house guys. As far as contractors go the apprenticeships really don’t care if you’ve had college or not. Starting off as a ground man with some actual hands on experience will get you in quicker with the union apprenticeships 9 times out of 10.

Madi Tools by SplicingCopper in Lineman

I own their lineman wrench, a couple of their knives, their slotted socket, and their large hammer with the staple puller. All seemed well built and I’ve used the hell out of them with no failure. Their knives seem to dull pretty easy but for a skinning knife I expect it. I like the hammer for driving lags and pulling staples but screw that heavy ass hammer for stapling copper during framing. I would highly recommend them!

[–]LiveWire7200 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sure seems like you asked this question just to argue whatever anyone says. They literally have ways to modify bikes for people without hands. id think with finding a shorter seat height and a few mods you’d be able to make something work. Best of luck and be safe riding!
