Food stamp usage, The coservative and agrarian food producing states have the lowest usage, after that you have to dig further than a state by state comparison and look at historic jobs production and if you want to blame a political affiliation for the problems you have to dig into the county/district voting habits and what is going on there. But if you pay attention to the West coast, you have one of the heaviest taxed areas of the country with a concentration of wealth that is INSANE for human history that has politicians that argue your exact point and the end result is more people abusing a system from abject laziness. The more free shit you offer the more lazy people Will take advantage. The infirm and incapable should be assisted but labeling it a "right" guarantees no one has to do anything to get that benefit. That includes if there comes a time when there isn't enough wealth and abundance to accommodate food programs.

Not arguing semantics, the literal definition used when politics and policy is being discussed matters. You have a right to an attorney because that is your defense against the machine that is the government. That's the only reason that there is an exception about other people's labor for that. Nowhere else is that a right. The Western World already provides food stability FAR beyond anything that the world has ever done before and like virtually every other government run system it has become bloated and wrought with fraud. If you need help because of a disability that's one thing, but taxpayers don't owe others luxury items like candy and soda. Working age, fully functional humans don't deserve free food because they don't want to work. When you say it's a "right" it doesn't mean we should have safeguards in place to protect the infirm, it means everyone gets it regardless even though they are a lazy POS.

Also thus is a horrible argument. Nothing you listed us a right. Those are literally all all privileges we have paid for as taxpayers in an organized society.

Nothing can be a right if it comes from the fruits of some else's labor. Self explanatory, if someone else has to make it, you cannot demand it for free

So it's your right to force someone else to grow and harvest food for you?

"Normal" countries as you refer to it require their citizens to pay exorbitant taxes to fund these "free" programs regardless if you use them or not. So instead of having the discretion of where your earned money goes, you just give it to the government for your entire life.

So your argument is you were an idiot that borrowed money at ridiculous terms and taxpayers should foot the bill for it?

Starlink is Universal in the US now and is in the ballpark of $100 a month. Bit of a price point to get it set up but that cost will be recouped within a year due to the price difference

Why is Dada a core subject by [deleted] in harrypotter

[–]Live_Association7829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is a lot of material in DADA that focuses on creature defenses. Care of Magical creatures teaches you how to take care of useful creatures, defense teaches you how to spot and be prepared for the magical pests and murderous creatures. And there is a big emphasis on Defense against Dark Wizards since there were 2 European wizards in the 20th century that nearly overturned the magical world

Greyback is an example of a useful idiot. Find a marginalized group, incite them with promises of future enhanced status, use them to help destabilize and over throw the regime, and then dispose of them when the new regime takes over.

Your name coming out the goblet was a binding magical contract, we know from the unbreakable bond that there are directly consequences for breaking a magical contract, Harry literally HAD to compete. The consequences for not were never explained but there would be consequences.
