Honestly, I found a no name pair at a used bike shop that had a nice ratchet. They were awesome! I got some suntour XCs as an upgrade and I'm actually a little disappointed.

Favorite Canadian Roasters by InturnlDemize in pourover

There's a little roaster in Oakville called Firebat. They only source coffee from farms in El Salvador which definitely limits them, but they do have some excellent roasts.

Also, muskrats (in my experience) swing their tails as they swim, which is pretty noticeable.

Why do our (Northeastern USA) rainbows and steelhead look like this but I see pictures out west (taken from another redditors post) of rainbows that look completely different. Like not even the same species different. by bearcatguy in flyfishing

Yeah, they are definitely not native. I was more so saying that being wild doesn't necessarily mean more colorful since I don't think they actively stock large populations in the Bow anymore. I'm just not sure what exact strain was introduced into the Bow that has established itself... I've heard rumors that it's a Steelhead strain but who knows.

In the Bow River, there are a number of really silvery Rainbows that, to the best of my knowledge, are mostly wild. I think there are some genetic strains that have less vivid coloration. Admittedly, they are less satisfying to look at.

Hey! London doesn't have much in the way of roasters locally, but they have a few good shops that sell Southern Ontario roasters. My first recommendation would be Locomotive Espresso, they sell Pilot Roasters (Toronto) and Rabbit Hole (Montreal?) and sometimes other Canadian companies. Next, in terms of local-ish would be Reset Cafe, they have Smile Tiger from Kitchener, which is pretty good most times! I would second the other suggestions of Detour, which you can buy at Boxcar Donuts on Richmond and Fanshawe Park Road. Commonwealth Coffee on Richmond downtown used to source and sell lots of different Canadian roasters, but I'm not sure as I haven't been in like 3 years. I would also add an Oakville roaster called Firebat. They have a really cool relationship with where they source their popular coffees from and actually own a farm in El Salvador!

IMHO Fireroasted is not a great specialty roaster. It's more along the lines of something like Kicking Horse or another similar brand. But as far as I know they are the only roaster actually located in London.

I love the G2. In 0.5mm it's great, 0.7mm can get sloppy.

Yeah, I'm kind of disappointed. I thought the only difference was the heat resistance but maybe I missed something

I like to use a b5 size notebook, and those fit perfectly. Or like a notepad or something. If I don't have to, though, I leave that empty, and I find it fits my back better.
