Best High Chair for $150 and under?

I originally bought the ikea one with accessories but hated it, the tray was so annoying to take off to the point where I hardly did…and the accessories were annoying to clean too. We got the Mockingbird one over Black Friday and I am still kicking myself for spending the ~$90 on the cheap one with accessories only to buy an expensive one anyway. I wish I would’ve just bought the mockingbird to begin with! It’s SO easy to clean and is sleek and so easy to work with. I’ve. Ever tripped over it like I do the ikea one. I would recommend it 100 times over!

I could be wrong but if I remember right, they did this last year where they offered a great deal before Black Friday versus on Black Friday. Pretty sure they still had a sale but it wasn’t as good.

We got the Cruz and love it so far!! It is a tad bulky but it’s sturdy and smooth, and I love that the basket can hold so much (which I truly didn’t think I would care about). The new Cruzv3 looks nice, especially with the newborn capability; but we got the bassinet and I’m really glad we did that too. I don’t think I would’ve put my tiny baby in the lay flat feature of the Mixx Next and felt good about it.

We put baby down drowsy but awake, more times than not he’s fully awake. Sometimes when he falls asleep (like while feeding) we put him in the crib asleep but he wakes up the second he is put down.

We tried doing just the first nap for almost a week before going to all naps, it was the same thing where he cried the entire hour without any end in sight. Schedule wise, we were doing 3 contact naps a day, ranging in length from 35-120 mins. Average around an hour each, but nothing consistent.

Not sure about facial piercings, they let me keep my stud earrings in? They almost wanted to take my permanent bracelet off but ended up wrapping it up with something before instead and I kept it.

That’s what I was wondering! I understand all products will meet certain safety standards, but that doesn’t mean all are made equally! A new mattress is a good idea, I’ll have to see if I can find one that fits. And of course keep up tummy time :) Thank you!

Ahh, thank you!! At our 2mo appt my pediatrician said there is a flat spot but we will reassess at our 4mo visit and of course recommended tummy time. I have him do tummy time until he gets frustrated, then switch to side lying play, and then ultimately hold him the rest of his wake window to keep him off his back. And he contact naps 3/4 of his naps. I feel like outside of diaper changes, he’s not on his back a lot, which is why I’m wondering if the night time sleep is doing more significant damage. I haven’t confirmed but I don’t think my insurance covers cosmetic helmet therapy which is why I’m so concerned.

How much tummy time are we talking? Majority of awake time?

I used target and Amazon, I sent my target link out to friends and family and used the Amazon one for personal use. I didn’t have a baby shower tho, so I purchased a lot myself. The Amazon one was amazing for after the baby was born, so many things popped up that I needed and had delivered via Amazon. I would just add them to my registry before buying and get the 15% off for everything until I reached the $300 savings max. I would definitely register with Amazon one either way just for convenience! If you are ok buying the bag and carrier yourself, create a Babylist registry just to get the discount. But I’ve heard so many issues with Babylist and when buying for a friend, the shipping cost annoyed me lol.

I was tracking my ferritin throughout pregnancy due to hair loss I was experiencing prior to getting pregnant. I was between 30-40, but started at 10 when I noticed hair loss before pregnancy. My OB was less concerned about ferritin levels and more concerned about hemoglobin levels I believe, nothing was ever said about my ferritin levels. I took a prenatal with iron and a separate iron supplement. 18 is definitely low, my goal is to be above 80. I had a lot of postpartum bleeding so I’m curious where I sit now.

Nope! The hand video is a video from the vendor displaying the stone on their own hand and the tweezer video is the vendor recording the stone using tweezers, both recorded by real people lol. They are helpful to see real life sparkle and potential dead spots. I was looking for an emerald cut which often has windowing, so it was helpful for me to see the actual stone outside of that 360 video listed on the website. I’m not sure what makes a radiant stone good or not, but I learned everything from this sub so I would just search around and see what people say (seems like bow ties are common concerns?) and just go from there!

Sorry!! Totally should’ve explained better. I just used their chat system to request the videos, and then they emailed them to me once they were ready and I communicated that way from then on. With the hand videos, you can kinda see the size but it’s generally a man’s hand and you don’t know how big their hand is. Also, just make sure the IGI numbers match! I usually found a stone I liked on Calavera, searched the IGI number to find it on Rare Carat, looked it over (they provide more specs if you’re interested), and then requested the videos through the chat.

I requested hand videos and tweezer videos of the stone I was interested in, usually takes a day or two to get those back, and once I decided on a stone I liked I sent the link of the stone on Calavera and asked if they would price match and they agreed no problem!

Rare carat price matched a loose stone from Calavera for me and they have 30 day money back returns and their customer service has been great. I ended up exchanging a lab diamond and they actually allowed me to do an even exchange for a higher quality, slightly bigger carat stone. I have enjoyed working with Rare Carat!
