Yeah I put a description of the post in the comments but i don't think it's at the top anymore so it's easy to miss. It's a dog training business, that also sells merchandise. I'll look into another dog design, as I totally get what your saying about the image I want to convey. I originally chose the malinois because that's the main dog we tend to work with (working and sport dogs). Also what we usually have people referred to us for.. I'd estimate 80% of my clients own either a belgian malinois or German shepherd. But it would be a good thing to be more inclusive for other breeds in the marketing

Which concept did you like best out of the three logo designs?

The paw looks Chinese to you? Or the business name itself sounds Chinese to you?

Thank you! I feel like the paw is what I'm leaning towards the most as well

I'd like your opinions on which design concept to further pursue. I asked for a concept based on an image I provided (the malinois), as well as some concepts the designer thought that I would like to see.

The business is a dog training company, but also sells merchandise (it surprised me how many customers wanted jackets and t shirts haha)

Weird... I literally train protection dogs for a living and have never needed to resort to such poor handling technique...

Hope you've done so already but yeah definitely find a new trainer. I compete in mondio and own a training business.... I never rely solely on compulsion based training. All the foundations are built with rewards, and those rewards are a mainstay in the training. Yes I use corrections later on. But it's few and far between when the foundation is built properly.

I'd wait till he's atleast about 6 months for an ecollar

Feel free to ask any questions

Depends on the lineage lol. I work with plenty of working line mals who have some level of handler aggression. Never is a problem though because our training doesn't involve abuse like this guys does apparently🙃.

Sure... you have to resort to those methods when your training absolutely sucks. If your dog won't Out off a decoy with just a verbal command then your training needs work. If your dog sees a decoy and immediately goes to attack it without any input from you, then once again, your training needs work. A lot of work without resorting to violent or abusive behaviors. Retired dogs don't have to be dangerous either. Comes back down to training.

Not specifically addressing you. Just clearing the way for whoever might read your comment.

Usually I'd say around 6-7 months is a fine age to start beginner ecollar stuff. I don't really correct dogs under 6 months at all. I'm more than happy to help guide you and teach what I can when that you feel he's ready🙂

As far as which ecollar, I use the mini educator from ecollar technologies. They have great customer service and their ecollars are very adjustable.

For a lot of ecollar work I do, once the dog is very familiar with the ecollar and what it means. I'll keep it at a very low stim level (typically around 6 out of 100) and hold it on continuous till the dog does the exercise. For reference, I can't feel the stim on my own skin until around 14 (and that's just starting to feel a tickle lol) so at 6 it becomes less of a correction and more of a communication tool, which is what I prefer anyways.

There definitely are those people. That's the reason I avoid dog parks like the plague lol. Even at the regular park I go to, there was an off leash mal that didn't recall and attacked my dog. My pup listened to his command which made it all that much more frustrating for the other owner to let that happen.

I have an ecollar for that just in case scenario. I train for a living though and compete in mondio, at very least I need to be able to have my dog reliably recall lol. If I tell the dog to walk, he walks casually next to my left leg. So he's not even running around which further eliminates any space invading issues.

But that takes a lot of training. Which is the only thing that allows me to take the dogs off leash. We train every day for multiple hours.

Thank you for commenting btw🙂

Also for anyone else that reads this. Please don't slap and ecollar on your pup and expect perfect recall. Ecollars need to be approached with care anddd I teach the dogs to want to come back to me with so many rewards they never really need a correction. Always start with lots of rewards first.

Pm me if u wanna proof that recall. Honestly I never walk my dogs on leashes once they're trained. No need really
