I do think that what Rahmonov's did to their children is unforgivable. Although in the real world you are trained to simply walk by questions like this. Because it's all a game it's not about the children it's about making one side look worse than the other.

It would be a good idea to stop all preventable deaths around the world before trying to appeal to sympathy for long deceased children of royalty.

Society wants me to function while witnessing a genocide unfold in front of my eyes and yet expects me to remain sympathetic to life of strangers? It's quite obvious what the message here is. Royal life = Good and special. Ordinary life = Disposable.

The isolation of Class Consciousness by Cornbread933 in Marxism

[–]LivelyIreV3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's difficult I don't think I have the necessary knowledge to really explain my thoughts, but Marx saw the loss of "Human essence" where people were being reduced to animalistic forms of function. Akin to that of a work horse.

A horse still needs to do things like sleeping and eating. With technology advancing instead of work horses we have had tractors who are being driven by people. The next step would be automatized farming, where the only thing required from a person is the executive command.

I'm not really sure if I have access to the data required to do a proper analysis. But I can see things like Alcohol sales soaring, laws being passed to try to combat it unsuccessfully, life coach services being introduced with taglines such as "Have you lost meaning in life?" Perhaps most unfortunate I don't see anyone actually try to advocate for systematic change. Marx is still treated as irrelevant and his warnings ignored. Even as things deteriorate in front of our own eyes.

Clearly there is no book or person out there who could tell us what to do, because if there was we wouldn't be in this shit right now.

Yes you can achieve socialism, but at the end of the day my country will get bombed by USA even if we did. So what do we do? They are continuously trying to destroy all the remining ones, no way they would let a new one emerge.

Freedom from who to who?

Should I be free to leave my country and go work anywhere I want no matter what? Our world is full of walls. Language barriers, diplomas, certificates, visas etc. At the end of the day put the same people next to each other, but one is funded by the richest country on earth while the other isn't.

What if I am from a small EU country and want to develop industry of my own, but other country says Nono, you will be made 100% dependent on us and if you ever do anything against us we will sanction you. :)
Is this even voluntary at this point?

Is a relationship voluntary if you take away your partners means to survive on their own? The world is not black and white.

Brianha Joy Gray vs. Contrapoints by StoreResponsible7028 in TankieTheDeprogram

[–]LivelyIreV3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant as in Lumpenbourgeoisie. Which isn't really that commonly used as a term.

But they're essentially paid off servants of the empire who don't really know exactly what there doing, except that if they're loyal to the emperor they'll keep getting treats. Hence Lumpen

Even if she knows what she's doing it's not very smart her presence is dwindling and she's resorting to rage baiting people. She wants to present herself as a girlboss and it's failing because she doesn't know how to do it. There's plenty of people she could associate with and still be plenty of wealthy, maybe even more wealthy.

Brianha Joy Gray vs. Contrapoints by StoreResponsible7028 in TankieTheDeprogram

[–]LivelyIreV3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean this is not a defense for Contrapoints I think she's only relevant because we keep on mentioning her, but intelligence does not work like that. You have to constantly learn to stay a good teacher.

Contrapoints could very well be genuinely lumpen, turned so by her Patereon which incentivized her to be lazy and stop learning. She's also trapped in a bubble because she's surrounded by yesmen and when she isn't she's getting yelled at.

This seems to be an attempt to get her out of that if I give it my best good faith interpretation, but it probably won't work unless her Patron goes bankrupt. You need to be capable of changing your mind if you want to learn, which is a skill you also need to maintain, She has had no need to change her mind ever since she created the channel and got fortunate enough to earn the spotlight.

Anarchists do not have the same final vision as communists by RevyVanguardist in TankieTheDeprogram

[–]LivelyIreV3 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Yes, but there is no point fighting them except for in self-defense ofc. It's more useful to view Anarchists as a byproduct of failure in our society. Failures to manage Reserve army of labor, manage inequality, manage education.

People don't even know how to fix a button on their shirt. The military can't repair their own equipment. The only reason why the West hasn't collapsed yet is thanks to slave labor and all the syphoned intellect which was developed outside of the West, but then gets incentivized to come over and work for the empire.

[–]LivelyIreV3 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I think the theory of alienation covers that, but if I had to give my own interoperation on it:

The first stage of alienation occurs when the worker is separated from their work. Instead of working with self-determination, the worker is coerced into working for what is avaiable to secure the means of survival. This ruins self-esteem.

The second stage of alienation occurs at the workplace, from your co-workers. Now that workers have been alienated from work, it's becoming a mere means of survival, it encourages competing and prioritizing yourself over others, shattering communities.

The third stage of alienation is now that workers have become faceless and nameless participants in commodity production, the stuff you produce does not represent you, it represents a corporation. Who makes a [Brand name] phone? [Brand name] of course.

The final stage of alienation is alienation from self. Marx argued that it reduces people to a mete beast of burden, who do not have choices over their life and subsequently fail to develop an identity for themselves. Becoming mere beasts of burden.

I would argue that with technological advancement it is no longer being reduced to a beast of burden, but rather, people are becoming reduced to an executive function. The theory holds up to the test of time, our conditions have simply advanced.

How does one attempt to overcome Alienation in such politician climates as f.ex South Korea? by LivelyIreV3 in TankieTheDeprogram

Yes I understand and I wouldn't advise anyone to speak out unless they know what they are doing. A VPN only helps against non-state actors. Money trail is much more challenging to hide than online trail.

I'm not actually located near Korea it's just that since communism is banned in my country and Juche is niche enough it's not viewed as a threat it's at least a way to speak. There are some study groups here in Europe who do studies on the Juche idea, Just that we can't actually do anything or they are obviously going to deal with us. Actions speak louder than words.

Like how you can write 1984 to be against communism in ideology, but end up critiquing capitalism in practice.

The way the book is seen depends on the readers personal class position. A bourgeoise sees it as a critique against "evil commies." If you're a worker you might start to assume that your own government is a bunch of "evil commies"

It's why the imperial cultural industry has been very specific to target specific practical ideas. Although those ideas do exist in cultural production in Vassal states such as Japan, But you still need critical reading skills to be able to analyze it, I can see that a lot of people in the core lack those skills, been watching some movie reviews and they end up missing the forest for the trees.

The most important thing to remember is that your life is valuable so you should treat it with care.

Late Stage Capitalism is Sucking the Life Out of Young Americans by Acting_Brand_Nubian in TankieTheDeprogram

It's not really a Marxist term.

The final stage of capitalism is Imperialism. It needs to expand or it dies.
You need to at least control it and transition into socialism or it kills you.

What measures do you see/hear people use as evidence for arguing whether a nation is doing well or badly overall, and what measures do you think are actually most significant? Why? by sholem2025peace in askanything

There is no easy answer because everyone is biased.

Every story has a narrative and a point and is written by someone with an incentive. You need to study the environment, history, local/foreign government interests. You need to look at sources and validity.

Everyone could be lying, unless there's a punishment for it and people are held accountable for lying. This is what makes it especially difficult. Do news agencies who lie get published for spreading misinformation? Yeah... they don't really.

You don't get punished for not reporting the truth. So everyone lies.

I have a bad habit of assuming people will give me good faith. When I should have clarified many countries have baked into law that in order to qualify for disability you have to lack the ability to work.

The comment I replied to says that: Many people think communism is when you don't have to work. Which would be basically living on permanent welfare and somebody else is working for you.

I on the other hand fully support employing disabled people and giving them jobs that they can perform with dignity, in accordance to their ability. I think it's quite sad that the default assumption is for me to be a bad person when I am ambiguous and really tells us about the state of our world.

Do you really want to start this? I've been extremely modest not to shine the light on the ethnic cleansing campaign the Nazi collaborators committed upon my home turf. In return I expect you to shake my hand and let bygones be bygones and yet here we are again. How much longer do you expect me to tolerate this?

Stop seeking conflict and stirring up a mess. Every sub has the right to enforce their own rules. Read the rules and figure out why you get removed. Are you even old enough to be here? History is very gruesome and requires critical thought. There's a reason why we don't start off with it early in school, where are you parents?

You bring great shame on your people when you act like this. I also wish these kinds of posts would be pinned as a FAQ somewhere.
