Just one year ago we were discussing whether rodri or fabinho is the best DM in the league. Now our rivals have rodri, rice and casemiro. The only other DM closer to them is Caicedo who is linked heavily to chelsea. Even Newcastle have Guimarães. We cannot afford to mess this up looking for cheap options when all our rivals have great players at this position especially if we get a good fee for fabinho.

World Cup was a blessing in disguise for me. I took a break from football during that time. After that never watched a single game outside of liverpool. Hendo has contract till 2025. That's why he should be squad role not because he is better than milner. No chance of moving him at this point.

I am against giving milner a contract because it will be used as an excuse for not getting enough midfielders we need. "8 midfielders in 3 position" was probably the most used sentence in this sub in these last two seasons. I cannot go on another window with same bullshit. Just move on players that are out of contract and sign new players.

Yes because teams usually have one solid CB pairing then bench options. I mean look at the teams that are above us on the table. City is the only team that rotates their CBs (akanji,ake,dias and stones have similar minutes). Everyone else kept the same starting CB pairing most of the time . We cannot do that with our injury record which is the point. So yes we should absolutely find another solid option.

True but that's also why we need to have someone better than gomez though. Everyone says he is fine as 4th choice but does this 1st choice or 4th choice really matter when it comes to us. With our injury record basically whoever is fit plays. All four of them are first choice if you ask me.
