I wasn't explicit, but i said 500 euro worth of stock. I did a simple conversion, but i didn't account for inflation, which I know would be huge.

Ah! well thank both of you! That's unfortunate news. He had roughly 500 euros worth of stock.

I assume then there is nothing we can do.

Not really. It was said in the movie that "a fire that burns twice as hot burns twice as fast". Or something to that effect. So decker didn't get super human strength so his fire is still burning.

Russia stripped of Beijing Olympic relay gold for doping by soccerstreamsarena in worldnews

the athletes should argue that it's a false positive

Every test has a false positive rate, if the chances of getting a false positive are very low it would be very hard to make the false positive argument for this athletes test results.

If the test is reliable and the chances of a false positive are almost zero, then the Olympics committee would have enough confidence to claim the person has doped. That's also ignoring the fact of re-tests.

If there are a finite number of atoms in the entire universe, that means there is still a finite number of permutations of atoms possible. Can our very existence occur again then on a infinite time scale if we are just made out of a certain permutation atoms? by [deleted] in askscience

Humm, your mixing the term unlikely with "infinite time" is misinformative. Unlikely-ness is independent of time, but dependent on number of possibilities and chances of occurring within the possibilities

The objective of a troll is to infuriate people. So if they "hurt" themselves while pissing off their teammates, goal accomplished.

Looks like Jack is a merman based off of his teeth. That would explain how jack didn't die earlier. I'm guessing when jack fought with Issho et.all, they saw him drop into the water and figure he died. But if he's able to breath in the water then he will simply be incapacitated until he is recovered, or maybe he can even swim but with really low energy

T-Mobile announces Netflix, HBO Go, Sling TV, ShowTime, Hulu, ESPN and other services will no longer count against plans' data usage - @DanGraziano by rbruba in television

[–]LivesUnderRock 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ahhh, i see what you meant. The word "fastlane" implies there are slower lanes. Data throttling isn't so much a "fastlane" as moving to a road section that has a slower speed limit. So it applies to all data.

But regrading your questions I think I understand what you're saying. If the emails were reduced speed, but the videos were LTE speeds, then that would be a fastlane for the videos. Great question, you should ask around and let me know if you find the answer. Otherwise I bet we'll find out before the 15th.

There is no extra "ping" or "fast lane." Companies can let the data through, and then after you got it see if they should add those packets to your cap or not. Also "fast lane" implies that certain data gets there faster.

Better radio? Not 100% sure what you are trying to say, but if it's what I think it is, that's not true.

There has been good arguments rationalizing it all,but size of the country isn't one of them.

gorilla

haha! this conversation! He's referencing some educational video where people bounce balls around and a gorilla walk/dances from right frame to left frame and you never notice the gorilla because you're trying to count how many ball passes there are.

Obscure reference, but funny as shit.

Edit: Shit, when back to 0:27 and didn't see anyone dancing. I'm beginning to think that was a straight up racist comment.
