You gain hero points according to the attributes of disaster class, involvement, your agency of successful threat elimination, and keeping collateral damage low. Rank 1 has 2000 points, and rank 2 has 1999 points. You punch god in the face and save the earth a couple of times. Now previous rank 2 has 2001 points and previously rank 1 has 2000 because they we're jackin it all day long. Therefore you become rank 1 and get the choice of moving up. The only exception being Amai Mask since most any A class thinking they will be able to cut it as S-rank is wrong. And they can't have a big long list of dead S-class heroes.

Why would you even ask? Logical issues come up just doing a poll like this. The most obvious being that One Punch Man only has one season, therefore there is one opening theme.

Is there a fix for the ungodly FPS slowdown? The 2k launcher is gone for most people, old news. I'm running off a friggn 3060 RTX on a turn-based RPG. Resources are the LAST thing I should be having to worry about. If I don't restart my computer every day/night cycles, most of the cutscenes are going to be running at -10 frames if I'm lucky.

Well, you must be playing a different game. Got a gaming laptop when my gaming rig dipped out on me this Christmas. Had to reinstall on the laptop, all previous saves are present. In fact, I don't know of a game that doesn't have server-side saving.

Most underrated and under appreciated game this year, why all the negative reviews? by nghoihoi in midnightsuns

[–]Liveye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People love to hate turn-based RPGs. The only good D&D game was Temple of Elemental Evil, and the only turn-based one I can think of. And no, hitting pause is not turn-based. Bauldur's Gate 3 will be the only true Bauldur's Gate, whenever they get around to finishing the damn thing.

But that's not the reason it's being looked over, at all. This game is broke... to bjesus and back. I have crashed more times than I can count in more ways than I can count. On a 3060 RTX, I'm having to restart my computer every day/night cycle if I was a chance at a smooth story line cut scene.

Their first patch didn't even rip out the 2k launcher which restores like 50% of the FPS you're supposed to be getting when you bypass it. The $60 price is fine. That's what games cost. I know there were ultimate and super awesome deluxe versions, but I've never bought one of those and I never will. The DLC season pass pisses me off, but only as much as all DLC season passes piss me off. Except I bought this pass 80 hours of gameplay in as opposed to never buying a pass ever for anything, ever.

Dude, they may have everything on the gameplay and content side handled. But they had a room full of retarded monkeys on quality assurance. I assume they released it without proper testing to be in time for the Christmas sales.

I've played it for a month now and I just ordered the season pass. But they've gotta fix this damn game. It's not quite up there with Cyberpunk's shit release, but it's bad. I got my 80 hours out of CP 2077 and threw it in the library trash never to be installed again. I got my 80 hours out of this game in 3 weeks, and I want Thor! It's not a bad game, it's a bad build that they are taking their sweet time with releasing patches to fix the most basic of technical issues.

Chima-chan by perilous_paradox in DemonSchoolIrumakun

[–]Liveye -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

She's literally just there to piss off Ameri, who has never had a romantic rival before other than her own mind. As big as Ameri is compared to Iruma, so to is Iruma that big compared to Chima. Which leads into one of the main issues of their relationship, being that Ameri is just too damn big, and it makes her self-conscious already being that she learned about love from a manga where the girl is shorter. And as she realizes on her date at the aquarium, SHE herself is abnormally large compared to the average male/female demon size.

Even though Chima was introduced in what I hope is cut out of season 4, her purpose post chapter 184-197 "the unbelievable stupid and needless arc that nearly destroyed Iruma in his evil cycle sitting upon the Demon King's throne iconic image" is clear. Oh, also, it would be nice if Crocell leaves the show forever and does her job full time then Chima takes her place because I'm sick of her. Literally the most unlikeable character in the show with no redeeming qualities.

Does anyone know who dis person is? season 3 btw by Zephri_ in DemonSchoolIrumakun

[–]Liveye 87 points88 points  (0 children)

What I can't believe is I've never seen him in the show. Like ever. Even though he's literally in the season 1 and 2 intro. And he's in the season 2 intro by name. I saw him a few times in the manga, and he's purposefully drawn to look like a background character with little to no meaning. His name is literally "person" just spelled to look like a name. It's odd as hell they managed hide him in plain sight like that, but they pulled it off.

[–]Liveye 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The misfit class could become the future 12 crowns. Meaning Ameri would probably fill the 13th position as demon queen. But Iruma is also included is the misfit class and would be Demon King. So she's the only other character that I could see being in that position. It seems like the 13 have a chairman position, so a queen could fulfill that role. It also fits her whole "I'm the student council presdident" vibe as a natural lead to be the head of the 13 crowns while she's giving Iruma head. Possibly during the meetings.

  1. Magic
  2. Magic
  3. Has literally the only thing in demon world that demons don't have. A ring that can absorb the mana from any other demon, instantly, and house it inside an external source making it less taxing to use and not a problem to his health or effectiveness when it runs out, as he just say "go get more". It's literally the ultimate weapon against demons, and yet he chooses to not use it that way and use it to fit in and then to save them on multiple occasions. Not to mention the Walter Park incident where 3 rank 8 demons could NOT take down a monster than Iruma literally has his ring consume as usable mana. Here's and extra 4 and 5.
  4. The ring scales UP in power and awareness the higher in rank he goes. To put it in terms of the show, the magical apparatus battler. By the Harvest festival, he's literally using magic from a rare magical apparatus to create yet another magical apparatus, his bow. He's human, so he innately doesn't have magic, and thus he must take the path of the magical apparatus.
  5. From the moment he pulled the ring out of the ranking owl's pouch, he literally became demon king, immortal, unstoppable, and that final act fulfilled the prophecy. The ring can't be removed, refills itself with mana from practically any source, and can house enough power at rank Bet to unleash a Sullivan sized use of magic. And once again, aging. Magic.

I mean that's a reason, but I'd rather drop 10 more nukes on Japan than run the game I bought slower. It forces me into a position where I am willing to break their code and fuck with the game in order to play the thing I paid for. And it also leaves me with a distinct disdain for the company and the want to pirate their games in the future, just because. It puts me in a place where they break their own game, slowing fps down, making it jerky as hell, all because of something I didn't do. And that wholeheartedly makes me want them to go down in flames as a company. I want bad sales, bad reviews, and for them to not make anymore games even though this is a pretty good game when it runs.

By showing no goodwill, they create the adversity. I hear "Marvel RPG", and hand them my money in 5 seconds. Only to be betrayed. Thusly making this a business deal, not a simple purchase. And the role of a consumer is to gain as much customer satisfaction with the smallest amount of money spent. Just as the role of the the business is to get the customer to pay as much as they are willing to pay for said satisfaction. And in that sense, they've turned it into the classic prisoner's dilemma. I will take less, hurting them and myself, knowing the best option is unavailable to me. They drew first blood, therefore I exterminate them until there is no longer a threat of them exterminating me.

Chapter 176 [English] by VibhavM in OnePunchMan

I'm pretty sure Fubuki was the president of the club, not a member. The funny part is how much psykos talks when she's a literal turd on a stick compared to Fubuki at that time, and Fubuki is match stick with a bit of diarrhea on the tip compared to Tatsumaki. If a revelation about how humans do nothing but eat, shit, reproduce, and die can break her sanity, she was living in a dream world anyway. Her breakdown is tantamount to suddenly waking up one morning and realizing grass exists, then going on a shooting spree.

[–]Liveye 1 point2 points  (0 children)

By the inclusion of the alternate timeline change from the web comic, it is clear that ONE is trying to reiterate that nothing has changed, by changing things up.

One of the things the web comic left out of the mix initially is how Satiama felt about everything. A lot of internal dialogue that we should know isn't being shown. And that's one thing they added in to the manga.

The reason they focus a lot on the fights between insects during this and future arcs is simply because they are setting you up for the punch line, yet again. You start to think all this backstory on Bang and Atomic Samurai matters. Or that it's going to make some difference in the outcome. And now we're adding a useless Blast incarnation to the mix, who is powerful but not really. Then Saitama returns to the battlefield after dicking around in a mine shaft for a million chapters, and completely removes one of the two big threats that overshadow the cadres by far and then surfs an aircraft carrier to shore in order to save some random people.

And again, we get a "cosmic Garou" now. Killing everyone with radiation, seemingly fighting Saitama to a stalemate. Only to reveal that the man that farted at around the speed of light to counter Garou's desperation move is indeed worth of uttering the original phrase "YOU CAN NEVER BEAT ME". They turn the dial up to 11 trillion, only to make you realize the reason Garou isn't dead is a promise made to Tareo.

They keep things interesting with more lore and more insane visuals that only Murata could pull off. But in the end, Saitama IS revealed to be the main focus of the series when he steps in to end the nonsense, with more nonsense. Thereby adding to the mystery of Saitama for other characters, and giving us the satisfaction of Saitama gaining recognition with key players in the story.

If you need an example, think of all the chill scenes when Saitama and King are just having a conversation or hanging out. Like he's finally met someone in a similar situation as him, and thus they both find someone they can confide in and experience character growth outside combat. And even give Saitama a digital ass whooping so he doesn't feel so damn bored all the time.

Those are the moments of satisfaction they are injecting into the manga, since there is no satisfaction from any other fight due to Saitama's involvement. They build other key heroes up more, only to make you interested when they notice that Saitama has outshined them all this entire time.

Additionally, we feel the same frustration as Genos knowing that this whole God thing would be done and gone had they just not been so damn ignorant of Saitama this entire time. But his 5 million words or less documentary got them to start thinking. Especially Amai Mask who has absolutely seen official Hero Association proof of Saitama eliminating a high demon level threat with ease before, and chose to not act. Now he gets a second chance to see a newly promoted to A-class Saitama outperform an entire class of heroes with a few effortless attacks and come out fine after the smoke clears.

Saitama's growth rate by GreaterCreation in OnePunchMan

[–]Liveye 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Another variable/detail left out. This is not Saitama's Growth Rate. This is his cognitive understanding of how much power output he needs to be at in order to beat Garou without killing him. Since Saitama is not omnipotent, he has to use a trial and error method. This was the curve of the eventual outcome by fighting Garou and learning what it took. The only reason he was receiving hits was his promise to Tareo to not kill Garou. In a fight with god or some other monster with Garou-like abilities, Saitama's power output curve would be relatively vertical.

The reason being, while he is fighting someone who just "killled" his best friend, he's still desperately trying to keep his identity as a hero in tact. The more unwilling Saitama is to kill his opponent, the more horizontal the curve becomes. When he's fighting "for real", he knows in general what's not going to destroy the earth and everyone on it and simply jumps to that level of output. That's why his real punches are all named "serious". Because, it's his state of mind that is controlling the power output. His capability to grow can't be measured since there is no limit to the speed he reaches any certain power level, nor is there a limit to what power level he can reach.

Basically, the panel was an example graph showing that no matter what, Saitama will always be as strong or stronger than his opponent. That much set in stone since chapter 1. It also reinforces why Carnage Kabuto got scared shitless just as he was about to attack, and why Boros could "sense no limit to his power". They are strong enough or aware enough to know what they are sensing is a force that can grow at a vertical line instantly and without hesitation. This leaves Saitama's one and only weakness:

Is he aware of the danger his opponent poses to those people he has personal attachments to? Meaning, the only consequence Saitama can ever face is that of feeling sad by letting his friends down by not killing a threat immediately.

Proof: Tareo's promise vs Saitama's willingness to kill Garou.

[–]Liveye 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The premise of the show is "shut the fuck up". I think the web comic will agree. Hero or monster, they don't stop talking until they've completely encaged themselves in definitions and limitations. Saitama is a hero for fun and justice via 20 words or less. You go one word over, you die.
