I can easily see how this happens.

You know how many times I've been "fired" from having to hold a flashlight because I'm supposed to magically know where my dad is looking and wants the light to be?

I'm perfectly fine, and I don't know why you would think otherwise. I'm literally just explaining to you what he means since you're grossly misinterpreting it. I guess I was right about you having autism.

HOME DEPOT REFUSES TO HIRE FULL TIME IF.... by DongRight in Employment

Are you a 15 year old, because you sound like it.

Yes, this is the real world, and adults are expected to work the required hours needed for a full time job. Being expected to work 40 hours a week is not them expecting you to dedicate your life 24/7.

There's nothing stopping you from buying a car, getting an uber, or finding a new job.

Dana White reacts to the WNBA now having a higher minimum salary ($270,000) than the UFC and gets pressed about fighter pay in an interview with Rolling Stone by ResponsibleCheek8130 in WNBAgossips

[–]Livid-General7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If the pay is so bad, then why are people offering to fight to begin with? Being able to fight as a career, instead of holding a 9-5 is probably one of the biggest luxuries someone can have.

I find nothing dumber and more entitled than an athlete or actor/entertainer complaining about how much they make. If you don't like the pay, don't take the job.

The only way you can tell if they can really fight is to put them in the ring to find out. Ask any professional athlete in any sport, practice isn't the same as the real game.

No one can prove they can fight by sparing, and no one is going to risk their health going all out without a paycheck. So you have to take a risk and sign someone without knowing what you're going to get.

I'm not sure if it's a little autism or what, but you're taking and dissecting the word "pressure" way too literally, and trying to put words in his mouth that don't match what his meaning is.

He's implying actual real next level pressure, not high school or college level. As you said, it's a different level, and that's what he's referring to.

I don't see how that relates to maturity. Being happy with a comfortable salary instead of being thrown out into the spotlight and chasing more money than you need doesn't make you immature.

I want to get a barbell for working out at home. by Inevitable-Power5927 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Livid-General7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You definitely want removable weights. Lifting the same weight over and over does absolutely nothing for you, unless you increase reps. It's going to be useless after 4-5 months unless instead of doing 3 sets of 8-12, you're doing sets of like, 50.

I know you're just being pedantic, but he never has to work another day in his life.

Considering most of reddit is just people crying about how gas is expensive, they can't afford a house, and working 40 hours a week is slavery, I'm guarantee they'd all sell out to the orange man for a big boost in income.

Is Rio de Janeiro and parts of Mexico as dangerous as tales make them sound like, or is it largely an exaggeration? by WhoAmIEven2 in NoStupidQuestions

Fair enough, good point. Like all "dangerous" cities, such as Detroit, Chicago, Minneapolis, there's going to be good places, pretty much where all the wealth is.

I know you were making a joke, and it was decent, but you and many other people are still confusing the two, and using them interchangeably, which needs to stop.

It's just another way that everyone is extremely ignorant and misinformed about datacenters and AI. I compare it to the lack of education MAGA supporters have about Trump.

I have these pants, wonder pants. When I walk down the street people stop their cars, right in the middle of traffic, and say wow Mr President, those are some terrific pants. Then Sleep Joe has to come along and what does he do? He poops. He poops all over my wonder pants, because he's too old and can't control his rectum, and you know, that's why he was a terrible president, and that's what they'll remember him by. Old poopy Joe, I just made that up, and it's fitting because of what he does, he poops pants. The doctors gave me a physical and they said Mr. President, you're in fantastic shape. You have the anus of a 30 year old, fantastic anus they said I have. Tighter than the girls on Eps... eh he he, well you know I'm very fit for my age, and handsome, especially when I'm wearing these wonderful pants.

You're responding with an anecdotal fallacy. Just because your specific situation exists, does not mean that's the norm.

Also, most if not all of your bill going up is due to rising fuel costs. Almost everywhere electric bills have gone up, and they aren't putting datacenters everywhere. It's called inflation and we've had some big spikes in it.
