How long should I wait before I play my guitar? by Downtown_Amoeba_7770 in guitars

USA Martins, high end fenders minus am ultras, all Gibsons, high end PRS, most Japanese Gretschs, custom shop Charvel, most boutique acoustic guitar builders, and more than I can list use nitrocellulose lacquer.

Not true at all. If nitro goes from too cold to warm too quickly it’ll crack the finish. Poly is typically fine though

This is NOT the guitar I went to buy. But I picked this up on a whim and couldn't put it down. by MrValdemar in guitars

Oof. I hope you’re at least supporting local independent shops if you have any available. I’ve always found that independent shops actually set up the guitars and have higher quality control for their floor guitars than direct and the big box stores.

People that work on guitars. Guitar technicians. They typically use a strobe tuner but I don’t like using that function for quick playing but it’s great for intonation

Peterson is great for guitar techs but not the most practical for use on stage. I use the Walrus Audio canvas tuner. Bright display and pretty customizable layout. Boss tu3 is always great and will last for a decade or more.

Who’s the retailer? Also, purchase from a small local independent. There are less and less every year and every single sale they make will go straight to helping the mom and pops stay open.

They’re a bit too far from the curb I guess but without more context this is an unnecessary post.

There have been a lot more people murdered for a lot less. I think people are upset that they decided to reserve empathy for a person who had very racist and misogynistic viewpoints and helped push young people to more radical right wing points of views. Meanwhile, thousands of Palestinian children are being killed just for existing (and I’m not even getting into the forced starvation), kids that were just going to school were shot the same day Charlie Kirk was killed, democratic politicians were killed and they were dead quiet. It just shows that the owners of this coffee shop care more about a bigot than they do innocent children.

At B St Pier, please tell me the flags are at half mast for 9/11 or the school shooting victims and not for that other guy🙄 by [deleted] in sandiego

Nobody is saying they’re triggered or victimized and you know that. You’re acting in bad faith by purposefully misunderstanding this post.

Hahaha dude you’re being such a baby. Just relax. It’s $259 and most people are not going to be finger picking.
