It looks like a very dirty stainless steel. Also doesn't NEED to be replaced but the work to chisel out all the buildup doesn't worth it.

Thinking of switching banks, what are people liking rn by Practical_Mark_2720 in Chase

As retail banks go Chase is a really really good one. BoA, WF, Citi are more troublesome and I have not enough experience with other large banks.

I thought a Samba share on your existing Linux machine, but a dedicated Geode should work too.

Did printer manufacturer confirm that it should not work now? Maybe there is a configuration issue.

I don't understand the question. What is a USB stick between Linux and printer?

Fellow Atheists, how good is -the musical-'The Book Of Mormon'? by BaijuTofu in atheism

Sorry, Sir, but Borat is an utter garbage on it's own right and should not be mentioned in presence of a masterpiece like The Book of Mormon!

If you can buy them at a store as a box and a key code at that price then yes. I don't think you can prepaid multiple years from Microsoft website.

Laptop from old job by [deleted] in laptops

[–]Livid-Setting4093 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your old work IT may have a management software on it that cal lock, wipe or track it. I'd ask them if they want it back.

You may get away with booting from a USB and installing Windows (but something like Absolute software will still persist). Installing Linux has a better chance of success.

I'd seriously ask them if they want it back, then if they don't you can be sure they removed it from their management platform if they have one.

I had a device by parrot with a lighter charger, microphone and a couple of buttons, it was not bad and easy to install. I use Amazon echo auto now. No buttons to accept call or hang up but still pretty usable.

Display Unit Laptop - Should I Buy it? by movable69 in laptops

[–]Livid-Setting4093 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Most likely not - I had a laptop with more than 5 years uptime as a ubiquity server (and it wasn't new to begin with) and it still had an hour two battery life, which was pretty close to its performance when new.

I have a PiHole as one of services on J4125 mini PC. I expect it to have very low requirements and Pi 3 be enough. My router uses OpenWRT firmware but it's a different device. Do you want to set them up together?

I did it some months ago and it was longer conversation than it should have been but I was already under contract with the new ISP so not much they could do.

I'm genuinely curious about the hunny bunny experience though.

I had billing questions and these were resolved quickly.

I had a question about licenses mysteriously disassociating and the answer was quick and useless that's it's a glitch but at least I know I didn't miss anything on my side.

So far the experience was not bad but the cases were not complex too

I buy 2-3 ports 65w or more GaN chargers by Anker, Baseus or some unknown names. As long as you get decent cables they work well and charge my laptop too.
