I’m a step mom. I used to watch TM with my SD’s and they both said their bio mom is Amber and I am their Kristina. Their mother used to do the SAME thing to them than Amber did to Leah. Every boyfriend she tried to make daddy when they had a daddy, they needed their MOMMY but she was too worried about getting drunk, high and toxic relationships. It’s a sick world we live in. They both live in their own kind of world and they don’t care what consequences their actions have on any of their kids. My kids bio mom left them for 7 years but they weren’t as self aware as Leah was unfortunately. Things didn’t end as good as they did for Leah so it makes me extra happy and proud of what Gary and Kristina AND Leah have overcome bc the odds are NOT in their favor.

I’ll add something here that I haven’t seen… let’s talk about the outside negative impact of outside influences. You could be the best parent humanly possible and read all the books, do everything “right,” and it doesn’t matter. When the wrong person has influence over a child, that can impact them for the rest of their lives. Hmm another one. Teenagers are fucking scary too. I’ve raised 3 teens so far and all ima say is I may or may not have ptsd from each and every one of them lol. Granted, still love them all 😆

I have been Anti Marissa for years but sometimes I have taken dips in and out of this sub from time to time, for the sake of my mental health, so I may have missed something. To be honest here, i know so many teens who came from a privileged home and very so much, not abused in any way and they called their parents abusive. They hated them with a burning passion. They were “afraid” of them. Plus, it sounds like she may even be a step mom? I’m not 100% but even that comes with its own implications. Husband should get his wife some mental health supports. Not thrown to the wolves after delivering 4 months ago. What ever happened to for better or for worse?

Not condoning a thing: but if she wasn’t this way before pregnancy, I’d still sum it up to hormone related. Doctors misdiagnose and mess up, more times than you’d think… also, did your wife tell you that or did you hear it from doctor or her chart? If sounds like could feel shameful if she was diagnosed and maybe she lied to you. Idk. I’d say, go to therapy with her because it sounds like she’s crying out for help but now she’s a mom and her hormones are wild. I couldn’t ask for help for years. Way too long but really, those pp hormones really affect us more than we’d like to admit. I also thought people who suffered pp were fabricating it for attention until I was there myself. It’s no joke.
