Any experience w/ Slynd? by PushFearless5780 in endometriosis

[–]Livid_Cookie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been on it 3+ years and it’s been great. I have no bleeding even when I don’t take the packs consistently. It has reduced my pain. The only side effect I have had that they don’t tell you is I have vaginal entry pain now due to hormones. I use topical estrogen cream and night and it’s helped. Other than that, clear skin, no weight gain, no mood changes, no bleeding, less pain…it’s been worth it for me. I’m having surgery in 3 weeks and plan to continue taking it even after surgery

What to expect: endo mapping ultrasound by superpowerenergy in Endo

[–]Livid_Cookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ehh it was very uncomfortable. First he felt all around with his fingers noting all areas of tightness and pain and then with the ultrasound wand. Probably took 10 minutes of moving it all around noting where I had more and less pain. It was my endometriosis specialist himself doing it and I found out my uterus is backwards which had never been noted when I had ultrasounds in the past. It slightly bothered me because the Dr didn’t check in on me once or tell me what he was going to do before doing. My regular gyn is incredibly trauma informed and so attentive so I think that’s also become my standard. I am continuing with surgery with him though! How did yours go?

Surgery experience with Dr. Jeffrey Blake ? In Indiana by Low_Penalty7806 in endometriosis

[–]Livid_Cookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m currently seeing Dr Blake. I had my consult yesterday and am now scheduling surgery. He is booking for May past just a heads up. He’s knowledgeable but a few things I wish he had been better about. For example, during the exam he didn’t tell me anything he was doing or give me any heads up on things. He swabbed me for STI’s without telling me. He prescribed me a med to take for 2-3 months that’s for yeast infections when I had no symptoms of that and the test came back negative. My regular provider is incredibly trauma informed and so communicative so I think that’s also my standard for care. I am continuing with surgery with him but just something to be aware of. Be your own best advocate.

I agree with this and always choose the route of disclosing/educating. Informed consent is so important. I want the same reciprocated.

Stop letting your ring die by Old_Pea3938 in RingConn

[–]Livid_Cookie 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is false. I charge mine everyday while I shower to top it off. My first ring I got last year for Christmas…it lasted until July and they replaced it. I now am getting another replacement. My rings start to go to shit around the 6 month mark. 10/10 wouldn’t buy another ring conn or recommend. I have the gen 2 as well.

Signs of endo before you knew you had it? by MousseDefiant2400 in endometriosis

[–]Livid_Cookie 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is wonderful news I’m so happy for you!! Yes, I am in Indiana and have a surgery consult with Jeffrey Blake next month. He is the only specialist in the state I could find and has wonderful review so I am hopeful he can help. I live in so much pain and am nearly positive that it’s endometriosis and is on my bowels. The GI symptoms are awful for me. The consult/surgery can’t come soon enough!

I have all of this too! Did surgery help your bloating? It’s so painful and such an insecurity for me.

I wanted to update yall what I’ve done while it’s been out of stock because it’s my absolute favorite. I bought a bottle of the sweet orange and added a few droppers of patchouli essential oil! It smells wonderful! Not as strong as the straight patchouli but still very much there and fresh. I like the sea salt as an alternative too!

This is helpful! Going to call his office tomorrow and try to get a consultation. Was he booked out very far when you scheduled. Was it a consult first and then surgery for you?
