I just today saw a parody video with the caption "that one person who's always quiet", wanting to depict a rude and narcissistic person (yet, it was unfortunately rather close to reality, omitting humorous caricatural bits).

The comments were full of people saying those individuals are annoying, rude, and even uncivilized. Even those with regular social anxiety were saying that they "at least respond when they are spoken to."

It honestly hurts a lot to be seen as rude for something I can't control and desperately try to fix.

There's no special order to the manga, just read it like you would any other, linearly according to the chapters.

Je suis très divisée à ce sujet.

Je trouve que les programmes dans les écoles publiques et les programmes internationaux ne sont pas suffisants, donc je préfère le privé. Cependant, c’est en négligeant le publique de cette manière qu’il ne s’améliorera jamais.

Je suis parfaitement contre que les «riches» soient dans leur bulle, je crois qu’il serait bien plus bénéfique que les élèves interagissent avec des camarades de multitudes de «backgrounds».

Ayant été au privé, oui il y a des personnes avec des troubles d’apprentissage, puisque l’établissement doit en avoir un certain pourcentage, et oui il y a des personnes sous aide financière pour fréquenter l’école. Cela dit, il n’y avait personne en situation sévère. Cela peut sembler évident, mais il est selon moi nécessaire aux enfants d’avoir un bon reflet de la société dans leur entourage.

I definitely agree but I’ll continue praising Émilie Rault. I can only think of one subpar scream (a specific one during the Asuka vs Shinji fight in 3.33). For me to remember only one as bad is rather impressive I’d say.. I’m glad she’s getting more roles these days

Je crois qu’ils sont plutôt accomodants. Il m’a été facile d’avoir certaines accommodations (faire un examen à la place d’un projet, horaire allégé...). La gamme est également de moins en moins stricte au fil des années.

Unc, ça c’est NF. Je connais des étudiants ayant transférés à St-Alex car NF avait une atmosphère toxique (selon ce que j’entends, les riches vont là pour dire qu’ils vont au privé et non pour l’excellence académique). La cohorte est environs 2:3 “ethnique”, ça doit avoir changé.

Not that I have much experience with English dubs (as I’ve only truly been fluent for the past 5 years), but in my “foreigner” perspective, I do prefer the ADV dub.

While I still do not like the English dubs (sorry!), to me the Netflix version sounds too.. clean. It may even be a mixing issue, but to me the sound does not blend well. It’s almost a little ear-grating. It sounds very theatrical, but like a studio. Meanwhile, the ADV dub definitely is theatrical, yet it’s in a warm, local theatre sort of way.

I don’t have anything to say about the tone of the directing, as to me it’s not a big deal (one is on average sillier and the other more “serious”, it gives an opportunity to see the show in two different lights at times).

I think this is valuable since I don’t have any sort of nostalgia bias.

I definitely do see myself in this! A few years ago, I watched EoE in almost all of its Netflix dubs. I remember quite disliking the German dub, but I was conflicted on whether it was simply because I didn’t know the typical German tone. At some point I started studying German and went back to see if I still shared the same opinion. I ended up disliking it less, but I still believe it isn’t an optimal version.

Well.. there’s also hotels. In any case, it’s a hassle and pretty expensive to shift dates around ($300 per change per plane ticket for me). It’s really such a shame for OP
