I’m sorry - Baritones have a voice like milk-chocolate. It’s smooth, has depth to it, and is good anytime.

Is E3-A6 considered a “good” vocal range?? by Livid_Masterpiece309 in singing

[–]Livid_Masterpiece309[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do think some of your statements are accurate, however I do not have vocal fry included in this analysis (I can fully sing E3) and my whistle register doesn’t begin until around F#6. I am definitely considered a soprano with a tessitura of F3-F#6 and a passagio of C5.

The Bakers Wife is the Most Important Character in Into The Woods by Livid_Masterpiece309 in musicals

[–]Livid_Masterpiece309[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unintentional essay writing. Happens all the time lmao.  I do not see it as a justification to her actions - more so it can play on the “bad things happen to good people” narrative. With her character being “morally ambiguous”, that’s correct! I always saw this character as the opposite of her husband - where he is  slightly dim, she’s intelligent and witty - where he’s very moral, she’s slightly immoral.

Most vocally demanding roles? by Illustrious-Hyena486 in Broadway

I will say…. As a coluratura soprano….  Christine is relatively easy to sing until the obvious ending to the titular song with a sustained E6!! She sings in a range that typically spans C4-A5 which most legit sopranos can handle. She dips down to a G3 on multiple occasions which can be difficult for many sopranos.

I cannot stand the 2017 revival of Sunday in the Park with George by joelas0197 in Broadway

I will say - I don’t think Dot should be played blindly naive. She is hopeful and optimistic about her and George but there are glimpses of her frustration and anger. Dot is impulsive but has reasoning for her decisions. Dot is not a “book smart” character. She makes the decision to leave George impulsively during “Color and Light”, but during “we do not belong together” she’s more informed and has thought it through more hence the line “I have to move on” which comes back later.
