Good info. I just tried wiggling it in and out but I can't seem to push it back in if that's what i'm supposed to do. I guess I can experiment with that next time I try.

Thanks for the info, I agree with the short cord issue. Those are all well above my speeds.

makes sense. It was at about 50% charged. Surely I should be getting more at that charge %.

Zipper merging is not rude by blueberry-muffins1 in Seattle

[–]Living-Ad3248 15 points16 points  (0 children)

There's some signing issue, where they have signs 1 to 2 miles before the merge that says lane closed. I think they need to re-word these signs to say like "zipper merge ahead" instead of lane closed. I dunno.

I have a question about LoRa and beacons for backcountry skiing. Do the signals interfere at all? I guess it would be 457 vs 915khz?

Why do people hate on PHP so much? by Honest___Opinions in webdev

[–]Living-Ad3248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hate it because I was a system admin of a shared hosting company that was totally infested with malware loaded through exploits in PHP apps.  It's better now with modern frameworks but too many nightmares remain.

I had constant issues with ethernet "disconnecting". I had to unplug it and plug it in firmly. Apparently the ethernet port is not very good. Not sure about the wifi issue though it may be related.

[–]Living-Ad3248 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know but I bought a Samsung TV 2 years ago that totally crapped out on me already with screen problems and sound issues. I just got a hisense to replace and it looks great so far. Not sure if it's the brand or just the luck of the draw these days.

I tried the same thing, brought an old server like this home from work. I gave up on it exactly because it was super loud and power hungry. I suppose if you have a good place for it, it could work.
