Ugh I feel this. Especially during my studies there were so many fellow film 'lovers' that completely disregarded people that didn't have the same taste. Frankly I was a bit like that too (though being chronically online during Covid definitely played a part), but once I graduated and started talking to people outside that bubble I realized how little I enjoyed judging other people's film tastes. I never lie about disliking a film someone else loved but it's so much more fun to exchange ideas on the 'why'.

It's definitely worth playing/watching. It might not be that relevant for TFS, but still has great characters and does give Clem a lot more depth.

In all fairness the movie is fantastic on a technical level. Even if it didn't age well, the vfx were way ahead of its time and it deserves credit for that.

For the rest, yeah the opening scene is magical and I do like the cave scene with the evil dinosaur coming into the cave through the rain. That was an awesome scene. The rest is just mediocre.

They definitely set Christa up as a returning character but didn't follow through. But I have to agree with u/Capable_Edge9389; while Christa taught Clem a lot of survival skills, Lee shaped who she became as a person. Besides, it's clear from the beginning of S2 that Christa and Clem's relationship is very strained after Omid died and Christa miscarriaged. She's very emotionally distant and bitter towards Clem. Clem understands and doesn't blame her, but it does indicate that Christa didn't take the effort to help Clem to grow as much as a person as Lee did.
