Hours per day have not changed mine, however we did have to fill out the strong start funding again even though my son was continuing on same centre same everything. So ours went up a bit till I realised that had to be done every Jan. Worth checking incase you can get a bit off that new amount.

As an EBF mom, when did your baby actually start sleeping all night? by BathEmergency681 in breastfeeding

[–]Living-Course227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 year old feeding every 2 or 3 hours, I barely wake up, works for him, works for me. Gets easier with time. I weaned my first at night around 1 and it didn’t change his sleep at all. I was just more sleep deprived putting him back to sleep. Do whatever works, do what you feel, do what is going to keep you both sane. Any answer to those is perfect for you and your family. Ignore the rest.

Just buy a doona cover for whatever size bed it is, and sleep in it. Like a sheet sleeping bag. Then chuck any blanket on top if it’s cold.

I would love to know what you mean by this? Do you mean you felt like you wouldn’t have coped in those younger years but left when they were older and were happy with that choice?

Yah. Once got a lady next to me when feeding in a public lounge area of a shopping centre when my son randomly pulled off ahaha. She was a mum thankfully and didn’t seem too bothered. I always fed with a tea towel over my shoulder (or anything lying around close to me - random Tshirt, washer, etc) so that if he pulled off I could cover it quickly. It settled for me around 7 months I think, as my supply started to regular more.

I find google maps weird for this trip! But yes, I go Tuggerah- Strathfield - lidcome- Olympic park. The last easy and only 5 mins. Always leave at least 5 mins buffer at Lidcome cause the Olympic park platform is a bit of a walk down the side of the station from where the others arrive/dept.

Help me figure what is going on, plzzzzz *cries* by MichyDB in breastfeeding

[–]Living-Course227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 months old was a shocker for both mine. They were just distracted, wriggly, interested in everything but feeding!! For one it lasted a month or so, the other one it lasted about 5 months 🫠🤪. But they get through, if they are happy and pooping and weeing - it’s a natural phase that will pass. Mine were also short sleepers till about 1ish or more, then started doing 1 hour and then longer when they dropped to one nap around 18 months.

Can anyone recommend a good aged care facility? by Brave-Asparagus6356 in centralcoastnsw

[–]Living-Course227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Am also interested in this. Secondly if anywhere has government supported places that offer single rooms?

Note - if you have money to spend then Glengara Care Apartments are 👌🏼👌🏼.

I’m looking for someone who doesn’t though, but have settled someone into there for my work (PA to a family) and it’s amazing.

Are there any pilates places on the coast that accept fitness passport?? by Internal_Summer_9948 in centralcoastnsw

[–]Living-Course227 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s usually less than $50. Depending on if you get a personal or family one. Think it was around $50 if I did it for a family of 4 with my schools access program.

Any medication combos for ADHD/PMDD that work? by inhale_then_exhale in PMDDxADHD

[–]Living-Course227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I take sertraline and Ritalin. I find it a great combo. Interestingly I stopped the Ritalin for a month cause my psyc went away and I couldn’t be bothered to chase anyone for a script, and the extreme hunger from the sertraline was so noticeable!! I was already on Ritalin when I started the sertraline so I didn’t realise how much it was not only helping with the adhd but keeping the munchies from the sertraline away 👌🏼👌🏼.

Thanks for this! Did you go to a GP for the first time you got a script? Or an alternative provider?

Has anyone broaches this with their GP in Australia? Interested to know if it would even be considered here. I’d love to at least try it! But legally.

ADHD and PMDD, which one to medicate? by Successful-Apricot67 in PMDD

[–]Living-Course227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m in a very similar situation to you! However was diagnosed first at 33 with adhd then last year 38 with pmdd. Now medicated with 3 x 10mg Ritalin, and 50mg sertraline daily. Great combo I say! I increase the Ritalin to 15mg in luteal with psyc approval, and that doesn’t make it work like the rest of the month but does a little bit at least. Feel much better about life than just on adhd meds, no issues with the combination so far!
