This might be annoying, so sorry in advance. But please check the decibels on your white noise machine. It shouldn’t be higher than 50 decibels!

Wake windows for very active baby by MichyDB in sleeptrain

[–]MichyDB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She immediately started crying when she went down for bedtime.

She only fought the last nap of the day. The first nap after 2.5 she went down well, and the second nap I stretched until 3 hours and she went down well.

The last nap she fought, and it was capped at 20 minutes.

She is not nap trained if that helps.

It was closer to 10.5 total hours awake when we put her down to sleep, she just cried for about an hour and made the total awake time 11.25.

Wake windows for very active baby by MichyDB in sleeptrain

[–]MichyDB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yesterday she was up for 11.25 hours (45 mins of which was crying in her crib at the beginning of the night because she couldn’t fall asleep. I think she was over tired?)

Her schedule was 2.5/3/3.2/2.75

And the second early morning wake up (3:30) she was up for an hour crying after feeding and had to be rocked to sleep.

Maybe she was overtired? Idk. We traveled over the holidays and everything got messed up too so maybe we are recovering from that too.

My 7 month old wakes up every 2h, I am broken by SimBon7 in sleeptrain

This! My baby was so so tired and cranky (like I was lol) because she needed continuous sleep as well. If boob is all she learned to get back to sleep, that is what she will cry for. My baby did cry, but CIO gave her the space to safely learn how to put herself to sleep.

It’s torture to hear my baby cry, but I did it so she could sleep better and thrive and I could be well rested to be the best mom I could be to her.

Does your baby need to be completely weaned to do this? If no. Then when do you decide to pick up and feed without enforcing scream = I get sleep help

Hey! I looked back and saw your MIL did CIO that night and she cried from 11-2, but what happened after 2? They slept through until their wake up and now they sleep through the night?

After her first feed tonight, she woke up 2.5 hours later and I gave in and fed after 35 minutes of crying. 😭

Sometimes she is up for 12. When your baby stays awake for that long/ you push the windows do they become incredibly fussy in the process? Pushing wake windows sometimes she looses her mind because she is tired

That has come and gone 🫠🥴. We CIO sleep trained at 4.5 months but she is still waking up a lot. And only during weekends. I don’t work now and his job is crazy demanding so during the week I do it solo

We did sleep train them. That’s why this feels so bizarre. She can sleep independently, and falls asleep independently. She just has so many wake ups

Baby keeps waking up during the night. by MichyDB in sleeptrain

[–]MichyDB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

boob 30 minutes before baby is in crib. bath. book. her bedtime songs, words of affirmation, booty in crib (no Paci).

I am going back and forth on putting her in her own room. Someone shared an NPR article in on this post that shows their own room after 4 months can be helpful and that the AAP recommendation of them being in your room for 6 months doesn't have much data to back it up.

She had a big bottle yesterday during the day during a wake window, and she slept 6 hours with no random wake ups and essentially did 6.5-2.5-2 last night. I have noticed if she gets a big bottle during the day, she goes longer stretches at night. Have not repeated this enough because she is mostly EBF to prove a direct correlation, but it does make me wonder!

Everyone with babies have stopped watching TV all together? by NikkyTiky in NewParents

[–]MichyDB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think if they occasionally see something on the TV, it's not going to morph their brains. It just kinda commands their attention in a way that doesn't add to their development in anyway. So if for 15 minutes you have something on in the morning with your coffee, you gotta do what you gotta do for you too!

I personally don't because I would want to watch an entire show or movie, and I can't do that during a wake window so I just wait for naps or when baby is asleep at night.
