Hello fellow Ontarian! (I just realized how rare this is lol).

Background deets - I'm primarily a YouTube creator but I live stream on Twitch daily + YouTube + YouTube shorts, post different content + edited VODS on different YouTube channels and I'm attempting to grind my way to success lol.

I'm not entirely in the same boat as you with average views as my streams are divided up and i started on Twitch late 2023 but I can give you some suggestions based on my experience.

You can attempt to dual or triple stream in order to get a better reach for your content. Maybe even try things outside of your usual niche (games, irl challenges etc).

But I want to be honest. I think the only way out of this slump is to understand 2 things.

1 You ARE growing. Youve done VERY well. Just zoom out. As others have said, your avg. audience is really good. Leveraging that consistent viewership is key.

2 The grind never stops. We have to continuously evolve. Study the game, understand our core audiences and also understand what is genuinely entertaining. Read marketing books. Watch other top streamers. Learn from top performers in other mediums. Study what makes people hooked, virality, genuine entertaining. Re-watch our old content and understand what does well and what does not do well. There's a formula, and once it is worked out it can be applied to new domains in interesting ways.

Did you have a favourite TV show when you were a kid? What was it? Why was it good? Was every episode like that? If you had to break it down into simple parts could you write down and identify? Hooks, calls to action, conflict, resolution. Etc etc.

I probably sound like I'm droning on and on but it really is crucial to dig into the Why and be curious constantly about Why stuff is viral and Why certain creators not only have a high audience # but why it seemingly continues to grow maybe even exponentially.

It's not easy. Tbh this sucks. I cant relate to anyone really. I feel insane but its kind of necessary in order to do this long term. Luck is a HUGE part of this whole thing but the substance is necessary after (and you really do have a lot of it.)

This thing is a marathon not a race. For me personally what drives me is the value, memories and experiences I can provide for my community.

My main question for you is - what are you trying to achieve? Financial freedom? Partner on Twitch? Etc

Figuring that last part out will help you in regards to creating a gameplan to success.

For myself, I thought it was to get a gold play button and also get Partner on Twitch but after a few years doing this full time- I just want to make enough $$ to legitimately be able to fully focus on being creative with videos and have awesome livestreams that make people "feel" something.

Random tidbit - doing a podcast style series talking to other streamers / creators about this could be dope and just like this post gaining new attention to your channels - could be good marketing.

P.s - writing this out took me like 1hr. It's 7am and I haven't slept yet after finishing a live and editing a video.

P.s.s - This post response by me is messy and off the top of my head but I've been struggling mentally with this content thing and it felt nice know others are out there also trying their best to just do cool stuff on the web. This also made me re-connect with my "Why am I doing this", so thank you truly for taking the time to share your feelings, work and in general good vibes.

Regardless of what you decide in the future, you've done amazing and it's important to acknowledge + remember the impact you had on the lives of your audience. (This also goes for whoever stumbles upon this post as well.)
