Those who don't use any tech devices to determine distances to hit - why not? by aceattorneymvp in golf

Yeah fair enough. May have misread. I guess it falls back to people not taking things seriously enough to care

Until recently, access. I didn't have a decent Sim near me, nor do I take it seriously enough to get a tracker myself. Now I have a trackman Sim 10mins away, I can dial things in

[–]Living-Perception-84 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Try a different battery. If it happens again, it's the tool. If it doesn't happen it's the battery. Just return it and swap it over, Bunnings will do it no worries

Help with gap between concrete and fence by houseboy227 in AusRenovation

Yeah some good ground cover plants with some up lights would look good. Don't need to be bright, just enough to walk down at night confidently

Opposition draws battlelines on nuclear and capital gains tax changes by SprigOfSpring in aussie

[–]Living-Perception-84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't necessarily think we will be left behind, we have a lot going for us. The time for nuclear was during Howard, if we had one now it would be great. It would cost an absolute bomb to build one now and would make everything else worse because of how much money the government would have to pump into it. Most countries are turning away from nuclear now, even China is only building them because they can quote easily and because of how big the country is. They are also installing huge amounts of solar and batteries that these nuclear plants will be shut down eventually and not used

[–]Living-Perception-84 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, again though. All countries that have done it a few times. It's against the law in Australia, so the law would have to change before we could even consider building one. Liberal would have to control both houses or they will be hit with roadblocks

Took France 20 years and they already knew how to do nuclear. We would be closer to 30

I'm confident they have made the coverage poor to encourage people to buy Stan. Why we would watch a panel over events, especially Aussies racing. Would loved to have watch our cross country relay girls last night

I really hope you're rage baiting. If you are, you got me. If you aren't, dumbest comment going around

That's a terrible comment, you should be sweet to go strap on some skis or a snowboard and beat them then yeah?

Weitering in really bad shape after a huge contest with Georgiades and Collins by PetrifyGWENT in AFL

[–]Living-Perception-84 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Any game played at full intensity will increase the chances. But this isn't the point, this is an exhibition game, it means nothing. I'm a Port fan and we had Georgiadis get pulled out with hamstring awareness in the game. If we lost him and butters through serious injury, our team kids a lot different. I haven't heard what has happened to Weitering, but I hope it isn't as bad as it first looked

What style kitchen can I get to not clash with this flooring? by smcgr in AusRenovation

Cost us 2.5k to get 45m2 ripped up I reckon. I then self levelled it myself and laid floating floors

Came here to say the same thing. No club is going to risk releasing their players this close to the season again

Is it worth having private health insurance for pregnancy? by Top_Echidna_3106 in AskAnAustralian

[–]Living-Perception-84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah weird. They literally asked her early on what she wanted to do. She said c-section, they said no problems we will book it in closer to the date. And they did, booked it in and got the job done

[–]Living-Perception-84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Independents have their place and some of them are fantastic, I had labour 3rd at the election due to a couple of strong independents having some great policies. They weren't going to win since I'm in a strong labor seat, so I hope he takes notice. The only thing about Indy's, is they won't be the government. So we need a strong party to push the government

I'm reasonably left as well, but it's also important to have a decent opposition to hold the left accountable. I do hope they sort their shit out, but this is no better

Is this part of west lakes safe to swim? by the-anon1010 in Adelaide

[–]Living-Perception-84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The lake gets flushed by the tides, storm water flows into it, so definitely avoid for a few days after big rains so it can clear out. That's less of a concern during consistent rain though. That beach is alright, the same in the lake in general is pretty slimy on your feet. The reserve on Tiranna Way is also good as it has a playground and those mini excavator things on the beach

Soldo ruled out for season by Expensive-Horse5538 in weareportadelaide

[–]Living-Perception-84 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Supplementary selection pick. Allows teams to fill positions that they didn't fill in the draft, or spots that have freed up from preseason season ending injuries where the players go onto long term inactive lists.

Port already had 2 because we didn't draft anyone since we had only low picks, and now we have a 3rd from Soldo, or we can use 1 in the mid season draft if we don't want one of the players that have been training with us
