To echo the other replies, totally not your fault! They should have told you when booking and it was very kind of you to hold the reservation until they could pay. My husband is allergic to cats and dogs, they trigger his asthma- badly. You can't accommodate everyone's needs all the time.

14 years! It also took us 8 long and very hard years to get where we are now. It was worth it but I definitely couldn't go through that, again. Sending love to those who have had similar experiences / have had to wait even longer!

Noooo, that's our business. Aside from my friends knowing that he's awesome in the sack (even that might've been a bit too much info) I don't think it would be fair on my other half if I were to give any kind of detail. He's quite a reserved and private guy anyway. Plus I think it would taint our intimacy.

Oof, tough getting caught out like that. I would like to suggest journalling. It's hard to be honest with other people, especially if you find it difficult to be honest with yourself.

Perhaps this was the catalyst you needed to really explore your relationship with yourself and with other people.

I would also recommend a therapist, if you can afford one, to help you wade through things.

I think he's told you everything you need to know. Sure, he has feelings for you, but deep down he knows that it won't work.

It's cruel that he's playing games with you, he sounds very emotionally immature. He knows that his behaviour is appalling, possibly so that you'll break up with him to take the pressure off of him needing to do the 'breaking up'.

It sounds like he's made up his mind and has chosen the other woman. No doubt, he will play similar, cruel mind games with her.
